Love the shingly light fixture. You guys can totally install that yourselves. One of the perks of new construction: all the fixture boxes are present and up to spec. Unlike my old house, where I have to call in a carpenter, an electrician, and a pastor every time I need a light installed. LOL And for the tree, try pulling it out from the corner a little. It'll look more natural since a real tree would need to be closer to that window there. And don't be afraid to let some of the leaves be in front of the of the cabinet since you probably won't need to open the display part of the cabinet much, if ever. The layering you'd get from that might add a lot of interest.
