I've had various Citroëns,since my first,a Xsara Picasso,one of the first in the UK.A good deal at the time,and it served me well.After a few years,I traded it in for a C3 diesel,a great little car,and apart from normal servicing,again a good reliable motor.
Following a knee injury to my wife,an automatic C3 followed,and again,nothing untoward happened.
Following a spell of company cars,on retirement,I bought a Renault Megan Estate,which proved a problem,(window electric motor failed,leaving Cv joints,corroded brake discs,all fixed under warranty)and I grew to dislike the four speed auto box.The Citroën 6 speed auto was much better.
I then trade in the Megan,for a Vauxhall Vectra diesel auto,which I kept for 5 years,and during that time,I changed the timing belt,,brake pads,tyres,plus the normal servicing.
That only let me down when the alternator packed up,but it was a good car,and I sold it on reaching 120,000 miles.
Then I bought a C4 Picasso,because I liked the look of it,plus it was easier to get into,as we are both getting on a bit.
A great engine,nice auto box,and no problems,and after 5 years,we have now got a C3 Picasso Exclusive auto,petrol this time,and it's really nice,and,at 30,000 miles,is like a new car,and is really nippy.
In closing,I have had many cars over 55 years of motoring,and I find that Citroën provide nice,comfortable"different" cars,with plenty of extras thrown in,and can be as reliable as any other make,if not better,and don't deserve their bad press.
I had a new BMW years ago whose engine seized after 10,000 miles,when the timing chain snapped!
It was a company vehicle,so it didn't cost me anything!

Most sporty is S max.. if you want a good drive experience..citroen c3 its very small for this class..

Nice video, and definelly Seat Alhambra is the best MVP of the market, maybe Volkswagen Sharan should miss, but techniqually is same body kit
BMW gran tourer!
We bought a Citroen C3 Picasso brand new in 2015. Everything was perfect until this year, January 2018 cam belt failure. October 2018 another engine failure. Still no news November what is going to happen! Think twice before buying the 1.2 turbo petrol! We think Citroen should give us our money back. This fully loaded was over £18000 to buy.

Things can happen to any car!
I've had a Xzara Picasso,(one of the first in the UK),two of the old C3s,both from new,one a diesel automatic Sensodrive,a 2007 C4 Picasso automatic,which I have only just sold,after 5years,to buy a 2012 C3 Picasso 1.6 petrol Exclusive auto,a lovely little MPV,with more space than my C4 Picasso!
None have ever caused me problems,and in driver surveys Citroen come ahead of Vauxhall and Ford,amongst others, for reliability.
My daughter had an Audio TT,and her timing belt went on the M6,luckily it had the dealer's warranty on it,it cost £3000 for a new engine!
For your timing belt to go so soon,is most unusual,they are normally changed after 150,000 miles,so just bad luck!
@@dougsinnott1 Trouble was this was the all-new Citroen/Peugeot engine. We found after checking with an engineer at Peugeot quote "This engine is not without problems" I would say it was rubbish! We lost about £10000 in depreciation, repairs, and car hire when the Citroen Dealer didn't have a loan car. We bought a Ford S Max to replace it, the best thing we ever did getting rid of the Citroen.
@@barrybrockbank7906 "What Car" did a review on the S-Max,and found that too had various problems,recieving 4 stars.
And Citroen are more reliable than Ford's in their drivers Surveys,and are much improved,but all cars can have problems.
Citroen engines,in my experience are reliable,and economiical,particulaly the automatics.,regularly acheiving high mileages.
have had various company Fords,and found them fine,so good luck with your S-Max!

French cars are cheap in quality building and are full of problems , if you want headaches buy them

I have a c3 picasso and find this car reliable/ roomy and cheap on insurance/ fuel / tax

compact mpvs is the smallest version of large mpvs. similar full-size cars. and more mini mpvs,similar compact cars and subcompact cars.

Bendover production I would agree if it came with a spare wheel. But can you imagine being stranded in the middle of nowhere with a shredded tyre and no way of repairing it? That's a big minus.
If I buy one, I plan to a get a spare tyre and put it in the back and create a holder for it.
Ford Galaxy ? Nearly as good to drive as the S max and as big as the seat .

zafira is literally one of the most popular MPVs and not on this list, Jeremy Clarkson said new Zafira Tourer is most comfortable car in the world and its in his top 10 list.

A bizarre mixture of classes in this video. Either compare Seat Alhambra, VW sharan and ford galaxy etc. Or the VW Touran, Ford S Max, Citroen Picasso c4, BMW gran Tourer, Fiat 500L and Toyota Verso etc

When people buying 8-10 years old car and you don't know how the previous owner ( owners mostly of cases) look after the car and problems comes in then people start talks " what a shit car!? VWs' , Citroens' , Seats' , Jaguars' , BMWs' , Mercedes' , all cars are shit for some people and perfect for other! If you looking after the car whe is need and you got it from earliest and low mileages I am really doubt you will be disappointed from any of these! But different brands got different service prices so if you need full service of Mercedes A class will cost you £630 , if you need full services on Citroen C4 Picasso it cost £260-£280, just thinking about that when you buying car ;)

VW, Ford and Seat are so sad cars compared to Citroens.
Only the Citroen C4 grand has seven real seats. The rest is rubbish.
Ford automatic gearbox is rubbish don't buy it any ford with automatic gearbox is very bad
