Monster food is no longer being made and sans is imortal due to his eye in the core. Eventually monsters starve and begin to eat humans that fall down for survival. Aliza falls down. Toriel goes insane and tries to poison and drug the human before ordering sans to kill her. Aliza comes back and survived.

Sans, she would pick the child’s side. Especially if they are fighting. Toriel gave up the kingdom to live in the ruins to await for humans she never even met yet, which says a lot, especially if she locked herself away from monsters to be more with humans. This could also be a reason why she is more bias towards monsters, and picks frisk’s side first. Hence why she lashed out!

It’s the route you can take in Undertale, it’s called a genocide route due to the player (you) murdering the characters. But it’s not real obviously so it’s ok!
