Animate Miami is a full weekend celebration featuring some of the animation and anime industries' biggest names, world-famous cosplayers, comedians, entertainers, and much, much more! There will be hundreds of events, such as celebrity Q&As, costume contests, video games, comedy shows, exhibitors, artists, and much more! ANIMATE! MIAMI 2015 took place at the Miami Airport Convention Center

I do believe if Rebecca Sugar was present she wouldn't let her say some of those comments without standing up for the fans. She even stood up for a fan when Ian took something too far in the San Diego Comic Con. So yes she's a comedian, and I understand that's what she does, but there is a line you should be aware of sometimes. Because what if some of these Steven Universe fans weren't her fans? I know I would have found it very hurtful.

This might just be me being an ass, but to me in the very beginning when the girl was trying to take a video for her girlfriend, and when she kept saying it was her girlfriend, "she's the ruby to my sapphire," and stuff like that, the lady walking around on stage kept saying like "oh, your friend," or "your good friend" when she was clearly more than a friend. I found this to be a little rude and homophobic, but I'm probably reading WAY too much into it. Just wondering if anyone else picked up on this?
yeah i noticed that too. the girl who was walking across the stage at the beginning also had a tone that was kinda... strict? im not sure how to say it but its kinda like those times when your parents are mad at you and you feel guilty as shit.

Something that I notice is that the surprise or ignorance behind hearing that they are together in that way does reflect abnormality. So I can respect people who feel offended a bit. I would be guilty of that too but these relationships aren't new or anything. So treat it as such I would say.

so, before Sapphire was introduced, me and my friends had a role-playing game during recess where we were all our birthstone Crystal Gems. If we had an indoor recess, we'd draw our characters. My Sapphire WAS introverted, but also acted more like Amethyst. And she had a hoodie
