This is definitely an important piece of Country Music history. It would be interesting to know how many County, State and even Canadian Fairs and Festivals he played during his lifetime. He always kept a great band. This is the REAL world of Country Music... the REAL world is NOT in the recording studio, nor is it working a stage show using 6 semi trailers full of sound, effects and equipment, and 4 more tour busses full of people. This man showed up in a van pulling a trailer, with just himself and 4 band members. They ran their own sound from the stage, and maybe carried a few basic lights... (or maybe not). When you are as good on stage as this man was, you needed nothing more than what you see right here. RIP Little Jimmy Dickens... you showed them all how it should be done!
