I had the privilege of meeting him during a visit to Derry. He was out doing his shopping and going about his business. He very kindly stopped and spoke to me and was a GENTLEMAN.
I disagreed with this decision at the time in terms of him winning Irelands greatest. I felt connolly was more deserving. But as time has gone by it was the right decision.
