Ya just let the basketball player who is the tallest stand on the chair then give him the mop... I bet he would have had the height then... Tho it was nice to see the cheerleaders get called on, but the ref just taken up un-needed time getting on the chair..
I thought about that, but.... maybe they didn't want to take a chance that the player may slip and roll an ankle or something like that. Also, there may be a rule about who is allowed to touch a ball that technically is still in play.
@Curious1 If the ball was still in play, the players or the male cheer leaders should have lifted the ref to get it. the cheerleader shouldn't have touched it if still considered on play.

She did a great job of getting up there and fetching the ball like it was a regular occurrence. But is anyone else wondering why they didn't have a second ball handy?? Just carry on with the game and get the other ball later?

Lets get a chair and stick and the shortest guy on the court to try and get the ball down. Now normal human logic would choose the talest guy, so is there a reason why none of the tall players tried?

Staged. Ref doesn't allow players to reach from a chair, but allows a cheerleader to get it from the hands of another cheerleader? That's more dangerous than the chair, as long as the chair can support the player's weight.

This is a common "Lift" or "Stunt" - they've done this dozens of times. Just not like this.
