Watercare is looking for people to join the prestigious Central Interceptor project

Watercare is a large, dynamic company providing a technically complex, lifeline service to our community. It is exciting, important work. The Central Interceptor is Watercare’s biggest-ever infrastructure project. Using state-of-the-art technology, the largest wastewater tunnel in Auckland will run from from Western Springs to the Māngere Wastewater Treatment Plant.
As part of the on-going, multi-billion dollar upgrade and expansion of Auckland’s wastewater system, we are building a $1.2bn, 4.5m diameter, 13km wastewater tunnel - the Central Interceptor. With 10 years’ of planning and preparation now behind us, construction contracts will soon be let for this project.
