@robertocojones4471 no I think op meant that this cut scene would've completed his redemption arc. But Draco was never evil. Even when Bellatrix was killing ppl, he didn't do it, only wen ordered by Voldemort

The finale to his very obvious redemption arc was def needed. This also helps put context to the friendly nature at the train station in the jump to the future at the end.
I'm glad they gave the moment to Neville, from that scared little boy with his toad in first year, Neville came to embody the courage of a Gryffindor so well.
I have heard people say that when JKR first started writing the books that she was gonna make Neville the chosen one. I guess Neville Longbottom and Sorcerer's Stone was too much of a ridiculous sounding title.
@@maksimtribiani1335Well, Dumbledore, in the fifth book, points out the interesting fact that the way the prophecy was stated, the wizard that the prophecy was referring to could have been either Harry or Neville. But since Voldemort “marked Harry as his equal,” it confirmed that Harry was the Chosen One. Maybe JK Rowling had an idea for it to be Neville early on, though. I don’t know.
@@boblangford5514To me, both of them ended up being the chosen one. Harry had to die to kill the Horcrux inside of him, but Neville ended up killing Nagini. It took both of them to kill Voldemort.
Too be fair, there are countless amounts of Deleted Scenes in the Harry Potter series that shouldn't have been removed. This is one of them. And hell, I think it would've been best if Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows Part 2 should've been over 3, maybe 4 hours long. This was supposed to be the final installment of the Harry Potter story, and, while they did show what was needed to be seen, they left out so much content in the story that it can be classified as insulting. For example, did you know that Professor McGonagall became the new Headmaster of Hogwarts sometime after the war had ended? Unless if you've read the books, chances are you wouldn't. Plus, there's the fact that the relationship between Harry and Draco are league better that how they were during their time in Hogwarts. While the two aren't exactly friends, they do have a mutual respect for each other. This was also further extend as their respected sons, Albus Potter and Scorpius Malfoy, were actually best friends during their time in Hogwarts, but that's a different story. When Fred Weasley was killed during the 2nd Great Wizarding War, George and Angelina, (Fred's girlfriend) began spending more time with each other, mainly to cope with the fact that they both lost someone they loved. This resulted in those two getting closer, falling in love with each other, getting married, and having two children, a son and a daughter. Of which they named their son after George's late twin brother. And there's countless other things they left out in the epilogue alone.
Awwww that's so sad and cute 😭😭😭 also they deleted the scene where they showed draco's son at the end with draco and his wife. Also I heard that draco actually fell in love & married a muggleborn, And finally went against his father in deciding to marry her. Don't quote me on this tho since I only heard, I haven't read the books yet. And Neville became a herbology professor at hogwarts
@@thebilliejeansfandomvideos2004 ohh yeah no I was mistaken. Astoria Green Grass is a pure blood witch but she had a blood Malediction/curse which caused her to die early
The real reason why they cut the scene out was because it didn’t match up with the book and Harry already had a wand so it would not make sense to add that scene
I think it would’ve been an excellent redemption for Draco, being reduced to a Death Eater, and imagine them closing their rivalry with a moment of mutual respect between the two
He was never redeemed in the book and didn’t deserve it. He had literally JUST attacked Harry in the Room of Requirement. The only times they ever acted for the good side was when they were actually acting for themselves.
The movies are different from the books. That said there are subtle hints Draco is on Harry's side. He's good at hiding his motivations and you can tell by the end scene in the train station the two eventually reconciled or at least respected one another.
Subtle hints that Draco was on Harry's side? Like Draco paralyzing Harry, beating him up and leaving him bleeding in the train? Yes, just what friends are doing, right? No, Draco didn't like Harry and wasn't on his side. If anything, he got scared of Voldemort because V. was a psycho. But that doesn't make Draco an ally of Harry's. Oh, and you might want to read the source material, not just rely on movie adaptations if you want to understand the characters.
@@catstack_ The one that he threw the wand to Harry? No. The Neville pulling the sword scene was in the books though which is why if it was one or the other Neville's scene should've been chosen (was also Neville's biggest scene in the series)...granted they altered it a bit as Neville doesn't draw it there but when he's on the steps on the clock tower (think it was the clock tower anyway, was on steps though) after he fell next to the sorting hat which was lying on the ground beside him and felt the hilt of the sword when reaching to see what it was that was touching him just as Nagini attacked him and he slashed her head off in the same motion that he drew the blade. The biggest difference between the book and movie is the battle/Harry shown to be alive scene had started well before Neville pulled the sword (the entire final battle was greatly expanded on...hell the final 'fight' between Harry and Voldemort ended with a single spell cast by each of them (Avada Kedavra by Voldemort and the disarm spell by Harry). As for Neville's speech before the fight I can't really remember if he ever had one or not in the book (if he did he was knocked out by Voldemort when he decided to tell Voldemort to shove it).
If I remember right, Neville did a motivational speech to fight against Voldemort after he killed Harry in the book. And as Harry told him before that he'll have to kill Naguisa whatever happened to him as Harry knew that he would be dead at this time because it had to. @@ifrit1937
calling him by his first name its something they usually do only with people you're friends with or like. While they allies for that brief second, they were still not friends, it would have been awkward and jumping his boundaries for Draco to start calling him by his first name. Its the same with Snape, before Dumbledore's death and despite being allies he always referred to Harry by his last name, that's the polite and respectful way to refer to someone you don't usually treat closely. Hence the expression when someone says "they are on first name terms". Not even Macgonagall, who was in much more friendly terms with Harry and ally since day one, called him by his first name because despite being more close she still knew they were not close enough to be on "first name", and at the same time Harry never called her Minerva, always respectfully adress her by her title.
no that would be out of character for Draco. 'Potter' was the perfect fit for the way Draco calls out to Potter. They are not BFF or friends at this point. They are still not in the 'get along with each other' stage yet.
No, "Potter!" fits Draco's character. It would show that they havent suddenly gotten friendly, but they (well, Draco) would be putting aside their differences as he sees that Harry can win against Voldemort.
Harry’s wand was still in his pocket from the forest, this would have been ridiculous and unnecessary and would have undermined Harry choosing to not defend himself, and Draco’s mother lying to Voldemort that Harry was dead so they could rescue Draco. It’s important that the Malfoy’s slunk away before the final battle. They were elitists, but also cunning opportunists, and after they realized that Harry could not be killed by Voldemort, they abandoned him. After the forest, they knew they were on the losing side and looked for the first escape. That was the extent of the Malfoy redemption arc. You forget that moments earlier, Malfoy and friends tried to kill Harry and Ron and Hermione in the room of requirement. The Malfoys were quintessential Slytherins. They don’t care about good and evil, they care about the easiest path to being on the winning side. How many mega wealthy people have you heard of who fight their own battles?
I disagree. They never felt that Vodimort was going to lose. In the end Draco was never a killer and his mother and father chose family over Volidmort. A point was made to show the mother's concern for her son up to and during the first part of the battle. This was an issue with allegiance and their allegiance was for their son.
Voldy had been mistreating the Malfoys throughout the entire series so they had wanted to leave his influence for some time. It still takes courage to lie to Voldy in the face, I'll give Narcissa that. Draco never had the heart to do evil but was simply influenced by his family.
That actually would be better than what was in the film, that would of shown how they smiled at each other in the end and would show that draco shows respect to Harry and all them
That’s so true they deserve a life time in azkaban even though I don’t support drarry I would like to see some friendship between Harry the golden trio and Draco
The reason for it was that J.K Rowling doesn't want to saw Draco as a good guy because if anyone has read the book they would know that he is a bad guy who is not hiding a good sight but the actor who played Draco was so charismatic that even the director and the script writer's had to saw him as having a good sight
I LOVE the scene we got so much more than this. Neville deserved to have his shinning moment! Not including anything from any other characters, nothing that would distract from his glorious moment, his characters growth and contribution to the ending of this great series. After all, he was sometimes thought of as having a parallel life to Harry’s. It was meant to be! With Draco on the other hand he was a main character in this story all along while Neville wasn’t and already had shown some change of heart when he did not disclose who Harry was at his home when asked. That said enough for me.
I always wished the Nagini death should have come right after the Harry Voldemort battle. It would have left more ambiguity as to who really was the chosen ones Harry or Neville.

And Draco was a snob and a bully towards Harry when they where younger. But he just disliked him, making him assert dominance, But he would never go as far as actually killing Harry. When Draco was forced to help with that it clearly showed him discomfort. And he spared his life pretending not to recognise him too.
And at the end you see them bring their own kids to school. Where Draco and Harry's eyes meet. As they give each other a friendly nod. Not meaning that they are friends, but that they are no longer enemies and can live in peace with eachother. This scene would have hit different if they left the scene in where Draco gave his wand to Harry.

Did Draco throw Harry the wand in the books? Asking cause I’ve only watched the movies and read the first two books.
When nice ferret ( Draco ) said " PoTtAh" it sounded like he just cryed!! I have just loved Draco Malfoy way more!! And his Mum!! She said " is Draco dead?" To Harry while they are in the forest, and Harry nodded no, and then narcissa said "DEAD"😮😮😨
THEY SHOULD'VE KEPT THAT SEEN UGHHHHH!!!! "Whovever decided to cut this scene might just deserve a one way ticket to azkaban." ,best quote I've ever heard in a minute.
I think they should release a revised version of the movies with some of the deleted scenes used instead of the alternates that were used.
Or just make a whole new series… oh wait they are 😂 ☺️
Director’s Cut.
@@emq6892do you want it??
@@lone_warrior665ofc. They can tell so much more of the story.
@@OliwerV I was talking about new series.
This would have been a good addition. I like how Draco and Dudley have character redemptions late in the series. It’s nice having some evil characters evolve to be good in the end.
I remember Dudley's goodbye to Harry in the book, but what was Draco's redemption arc? I remember him refusing to identify Harry to the snatchers. Was there something he did after that?
@robertocojones4471 no I think op meant that this cut scene would've completed his redemption arc. But Draco was never evil. Even when Bellatrix was killing ppl, he didn't do it, only wen ordered by Voldemort
@@Splashstar216right!
I think the reason it was cut is because even though it is a amazing scene it is not in the books and I think they wanted to be as close to the original book than possible, that is just what I think
I always new Draco had a little bit of heart, I love him sm
Harry couldn’t catch the wand and get a good scene of it apparently hence it was cut from the film
He caught it in that take, and many more as well, that was just a fan-made excuse
J K Rowling probably didn’t want it because as we all know she hates Draco and anyone who’s a fan of the character
I think I should’ve replaced Daniel in that scene… I would’ve caught it first try
Well retake exists🙂
@@live_laugh_lia he very clearly drops it lmfao. you can even see him look at the ground where it fell and move quickly to pick it up. How on earth did you watch this clip and think he caught it lol
Omg the emotional “ POTTAH “
A one way ticket indeed. That was a necessary aspect of Draco’s redemption and it makes their whole story (harry and Draco) tie up nicely.
That Scene would of been soo wholesome

His scene needed to be in my life but ofc all the best scenes get cut allways just why😭😭😭😭
Because it wasn’t in the book, and wasn’t in character
@@ryder_hdhalf of the books aren't in he movies, half of the movies or isnt even in the books, or is extremely changed
This makes more sense because in the final duel, it shows Harry using Malfoy’s wand to defeat him in the end.

Me just crying. Sad that we didn't get that scene.
Oh my gosh I just wish they did this. That would’ve been like the best scene!! 😭😭
The finale to his very obvious redemption arc was def needed. It helped add context to why the malfoys seemed so scared when leaving because not only are they abandoning Voldemort Dracos last act is to directly defy him and show loyalty to harry... This also helps put context to the friendly nature at the train station in the jump to the future at the end.
The way that he says Potter gets me every time😊
I love both!!! I love that Neville is such an underdog but I also love how Draco would’ve turned good ❤ 😊
I wish they never deleted it 😢
Harry couldn’t catch his wand, so that’s why it was cut
Yea
It wasn't even in the book. Makes Draco out-of-character.
With all the money they had, they couldn't just CGI the damn wand? @@emilyodonnell4928
I'm glad they did Draco was not a good person
I feel like Draco is one of the characters who have a twist who actually cut this
why the hell are deleted scenes always better than the original scenes!! god dammit
@@misspriss2482 By that logic, Dumbledore was also the chosen one, because he destroyed the ring, which was also a horcrux.
On a flip side this is true
GEORGE AND FREDS GF????
This would have been amazing to see
Awwww that's so sad and cute 😭😭😭 also they deleted the scene where they showed draco's son at the end with draco and his wife. Also I heard that draco actually fell in love & married a muggleborn, And finally went against his father in deciding to marry her. Don't quote me on this tho since I only heard, I haven't read the books yet. And Neville became a herbology professor at hogwarts
Nah bro stole his gf
@@thebilliejeansfandomvideos2004 ohh yeah no I was mistaken. Astoria Green Grass is a pure blood witch but she had a blood Malediction/curse which caused her to die early
The real reason why they cut the scene out was because it didn’t match up with the book and Harry already had a wand so it would not make sense to add that scene
I think it would’ve been an excellent redemption for Draco, being reduced to a Death Eater, and imagine them closing their rivalry with a moment of mutual respect between the two
This would have been SO MUCH BETTER 😢. It’s the first time he said Potter without disgust 😂

He was never redeemed in the book and didn’t deserve it. He had literally JUST attacked Harry in the Room of Requirement. Yea, Harry saved his life (twice) after that, but he never “switched sides.” None of the Malfoys took part in the final battle after Harry’s “death.” And Narcissa only lied for Harry so she could try to find her son. The only times they ever acted for the good side was when they were actually acting for themselves.
It's kinda true, but being a Harry x Draco fan, I can't really agree
This is what I was looking for. I couldn’t remember, but didn’t think Malfoy really “switched sides”

The movies are different from the books. That said there are subtle hints Draco is on Harry's side. He's good at hiding his motivations and you can tell by the end scene in the train station the two eventually reconciled or at least respected one another.
was the cut scene in the book?
There were never hints that Draco was on Harry's side. He just didn't side with the Death Eaters.
@@ifrit1937
Yes, I totally agree with you. I love the scene where Draco throws hairy his wand, and he says potter
That would have been an amazing turn in his character arc.
It would have been even better if he just yelled "HARRY!" as a sign of alliance and peace❤
True but then he wouldn't be Draco.
calling him by his first name its something they usually do only with people you're friends with or like.
Fuck no.
no that would be out of character for Draco.
OMG I love 💗 the way he said❤”potter!!!”

harry:Got it!
Harry:damn i lost it
😂😂😂the unbreakable truth at the end
I'm smiling knowing this scene exists somewhere !❤
When he said “ That’s a one way ticket to Azkaban” got me 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
BAHA THE END LMOA SO TRUE
How many mega wealthy people have you heard of who fight their own battles?
people are going mad they don't read books I totally agree with you
Didn't Harry already have Draco's wand. It had changed allegiance after Harry disarmed Draco at his home.
Iron man duh
That actually would be better than what was in the film, that would of shown how they smiled at each other in the end and would show that draco shows respect to Harry and all them
the last line, I support it
That’s so true they deserve a life time in azkaban even though I don’t support drarry I would like to see some friendship between Harry the golden trio and Draco

Not one way ticket dude whoever cut the scenes deserve straight way to akzaban🗿😭😭🔥
I always appreciated they never added it. It wasn’t in the books, although was cool to see in deleted scenes.
It seems shivers at me. Draco my guy
The reason for it was that J.K Rowling doesn't want to saw Draco as a good guy because if anyone has read the book they would know that he is a bad guy who is not hiding a good sight but the actor who played Draco was so charismatic that even the director and the script writer's had to saw him as having a good sight
It's true, Tom Felton is a really great guy
This deleted scene is in the game😮
That would have been the most epic plot twist of all
"POTTAH!!"
i just knew pottah and malfoy would become friends
This would’ve made the ending so much better, and saved Draco’s character
the guy deleted this scene deserves a kiss from dementor.
Him yelling Potter just made me emotional 😭😭
