What if firewall is connected to a ISP router and firewall is having private WAN IP from router. How will users from outside connect to private WAN IP via FORTICLIENT?
@@vz4798 I have got the answer man after searchng for so long. So what we need to do is to enable NAT so that the WAN IP of the router can translate to the LAN IP and then specify the external and internal ports.
Thanks for the video. I am a beginner to this fortigate. It worked well when I am in the same network but when I used 4G on my phone and tried to connect using WEB or FortiClient on the 4G it did not work and when I came home and I wanted to modify something on my firewall I couldn't access. please tell me how?
Can i setup up the vpn for my home user to access my home qnap without FortiGate firewal subscriptions i only bought second hand FortiGate firewal device 60F?
Tunnel all refers to all the traffic. The traffic that is Destin for the privet networks as well as any traffic going out to the internet will be sent to the firewall. Thanks for your comment and be sure to subscribe for new content.
I have my setup exactly as yours, but when I connect to the VPN I can RDP into my desktop but I can't ping it. Is there another step to allow ping to work? I do have my service set to ALL Thank you! Edit: I also have ping enabled on the interface
can we have a custom installer so that end-user when connect to SSL VPN they directly get the installer with preconfigured settings so they just enter credentials and use?
Hello Mat, This guide is great. by the way just want to confirm if on this guide you also have a Forticlient subscription in place or just the free forticlient is used?
Hello - I was able to use one of your videos to build a vpn tunnel between 2 locations. Do you have a video on how to configure VPN users to log into location 1 and then be able to access location 2 via the VPN tunnel between the 2 locations?
I have the Fortigate VPN. I'm using it to access a NAS on my network via a mapped network drive. When I'm outside, the problem is, I'm using the actual internet that is on my network, which causes huge delays in regular internet use, as I'm limited to the upload speed back to my PC. Is there a way to configure the Fortigate VPN to only access the network drive and use my internet wherever I am located?
1:53 In the IPV4 policy, how did you get SSL VPN tunnel interface automatically? I am not getting that interface, I am only getting WAN and INternal LAN interface. How to set it up?

I do have a question here, how many SSL/IPSEC VPN settings can be created in a firewall?
Does this tunnel all traffic to the fortigate branch or just the traffic going for internal resources? Great video btw.
