- Bulldozers were seen in action in the national capital, Delhi. More than 200 houses in the Civil Lines Khyber Pass area were demolished on the night of Saturday, July 13. The residents, mostly labourers, claimed they lived there for 70 to 80 years in this Khyber Pass area.
This sudden action has left many families homeless and distraught.

Govt agency and courts always give order and take action of demolition in the case of areas where poor families resides but never take such action against the farm house and hotels which are situated in the govt. Land. These facts clearly show there is no law for poors.

Asking for 25 gaj....my rickshaw walla lives in 3 room house without toilet but free electric connection, fridge, TV, washing machine ...has a two storeyed house in another area of Delhi given on rent, has applied and got three dda houses in various schemes and sold them at premium after allotment.

Encroachments should be cleared
Those who say India is a loving country should explain this....India is very much dvided and self-centered and selfish country. Why the govt. officials of DDA should not be punished for allowing them to build these houses first? These people invest in small amounts on those housing. All that investment is gone. Who will pay them back all of that investment? Its not the house that are broken but the lives of all these people are demolished. Any DDA official lost their house by the buldozer?
I request @Khalsaaid and other NGOs in Delhi to please help these people by providing them with food, water, makeshift shelters and other necessary items. I request people in the Comment Section if you live in the neighboring areas of these people, kindly help these people.
