@@eadsierestorations Yeah I've had a few fruit machines over the years always amazed how cheap they are and usually easy to repair. I've never had a juke box that would be a nice one to have.
I run a Repair Cafe in Leighton Buzzard. Someone is keen to bring in a Sharp VZ 2000 and looking for it to be repaired. It looks like a really fiddly job. Where are you based? Would you be able to look at his item?

Have done many fruit machines in the past. Have always had one in the house (along with jukebox in the past) still have a fruity now

Shrink wrap protection end of pliers. So simple but effective. Maybe because I'm slow on the uptake, I'd never had come up with that

To disconnect the speakers reposition the the unit vertically with the edge hanging over the edge of the table and remove it from underneath.
