I felt so much emotion watching this video and feel so bad for Reese and I want her to know that I’ll be praying for her and I know she’s capable to do so much!
Reese, thank you for being vulnerable and letting us in on your personal struggle when you didn’t have to- you are becoming such a lovely young woman! Praying for clarity and progress for you with your tumbling issue. Mental health is such a big factor in any sport. You have an army of people who care and are rooting for you and praying for you! Please keep us updated on your journey with EMDR, if you feel comfortable ❤️
Watching Reese start tearing up broke my heart! I feel for her so much because I’ve had a mental block before on my tumbling and I was told that they looked gorgeous but I just couldn’t throw it. I got the skill back, then lost it, then got it back and it stayed. Good luck Reese and congrats to Perri!
Reese thank you for sharing! Seeing this side of you is amazing. You speaking out and sharing you can be helping so many other cheer leaders. I know you will get through this mental block! I had a mental block when I use to ride horses and compete in show jumping and when I got to 3”0 “ jumps I would have a mental block and forget how to ride. Reese you will get through this! You are strong ! Congratulations Perri I’m so happy for you!
I see Kesley in Reese so much!! I LOVE all of y’all so much. Praying that Reese will be more confident in herself! She is so beautiful and deserves so much!! She is a great cheerleader and and and amazing young woman!!💕💕
Im so happy for you guys and Reese even if your sad about your team just remember this is for you to get better and make sure that there is no stress because they probably know about you mental block and they just don’t want to put more stress on you. I am on a level 4 and i have so much stress and anxiety about my tumbling but the thing that keeps me from mental blocks is taking my time on tumbling. If i have a skill i will work on it till its perfect so i cant lose it. Just remember it doesn’t matter what team your on it matters if you have fun and are with your friends and amazing coaches. Yes competing is a big part but the even bigger part is taking it step by step and having fun making sure you you don’t put pressure on yourself I’ve been doing it for 9 years and its not easy but you have to keep working hard and never give up. The number one things that mater are having fun, being nice, trying your hardest, and telling your self you got this. For the longest time I’ve compared my tumbling to others and it hasn’t gotten me far just get the best mindset and you can do anything Have a fun comp session and wish you both luck ❤
I used to struggle with this all the time every year it was something new and I so sad to see another athlete go though this. But I know you will get past it and once you do you really will come back better then ever. I’m so thankful that you are brave enough to show us your emotions and not lie about it. You got this and we are all here for you. We love you Reese. And we love you to Perri.
Omg with so many life changes, I haven’t watched The LeRoys in a hot minute. Remembered you guys today and just wanted to watch something homey and oh my gosh how the girls have grown so much. Actually brought a tear to my eye. You beautiful girls have grown into such talented young women. Reese, baby girl. Chin up. The fact that you keep working on it and you’re not giving up is so brave and remarkable. Effort never goes to waste. EVER. So it’s all in due time honey
I can relate to Reese so much ! After doing tumbling for 6 years I got a mental block. Unfortunately I quit tumbling because of the mental block. I hope the Reese never gives up because she is amazing and has so much potential!!❤
i completely understand how reese feels! i’ve done cheer for 5 years and i have the worst mental block. it’s gotten to the point i have no tumbling left and it really destroys my confidence! i hope reese can find her way out of her block!
I do competitive cheer and I really appreciate Reese sharing I have had a mental block for a year I used to be able to do backhand tuck and round off backhand springs and standing two to a tuck. Now I can’t do backhand springs on tramp or tucks without a spot it’s like everything scares me. But I know I will breakthrough soon and so will Reese.
You got these Reese!! From a gymnastics coach and gymnast here, mental blocks are really common but that doesn't make easy the fact that they are frustrating, disappointing, scary and more. Step by step girl! You can do it, dont push yourself to the LIMIT, just go for more everyday and when you feel you really can't, change the chip and do something else.. love from Uruguay ❤❤
My level 5 daughter showed up for tryouts and couldn’t throw a backhand spring! It was crazy! Many athletes I’m in our gym have gone thru this! Best of luck!
Love The LeRoy's, your whole family are wonderful & amazing. Cory, Shanna, Kesley, Logan, Rhett, Reese & Perri. And last but not least Bailey & Lucy as well
aww reese! ik exactly how she feels. personally for myself with my sport i’ve worked really really really hard, and i was always still put in the bottom part of the team just because i’ve been afraid of trying new tosses. but it all comes with time bc i finally got into the top spots and am trying for assistant captain! ik you can do it reese! just keep working hard and being you! you will overcome this so soon! so proud of you reese!
So amazing, looks so fun! I wish I could tumble. I feel like your gut is trying to tell you something, and your brain, when it has a block it wants you to stop. Don't do things you aren't comfortable with or that scare you if there's a chance you can hurt yourself. I had a mental block too, in figure skating, and its called you "lost your double axle" or whatever jump it is, and you just have a mental block and can't jump or rotate like you typically can, it's so frustrating. It's like you never jumped before. It happens to most people at least once when they start doing harder jumps. For me, I realized it was bc I had stuff going on that was emotionally impacting me outside skating. Once I came to grips with that it went away. I also started at the basics again, like I had never done the jump before, every day.. It's amazing you are doing therapy. We have to be whole within to succeed in anything in life, and to be able give it 100%. Mental health is so important. Best of luck on your journey, stay happy and healthy. :)
I feel so bad for Reese but this was actually nice to see because I literally do cheer too and i have a mental block when it comes to to tumbling so it was great to like find out that other people do too, even people who can tumble as well as Reese 💗💗
I feel so bad for Reese. I always went through SO BAD of mental blocks and it is very emotional and frustrating time for some people. I know she will get through it though. I hope you know that I'm praying for her and that she is so strong and so capable to throw any flip she can. Love you Reese, and everyone else of course!💗💗
My sister had a mental block with anything dealing with a backhand spring. She ultimately got out of tumbling/ competitive cheer. Sometimes cheer/tumbling is not for everyone AND THATS OKAY! I hope that you choose your mental health over an extracurricular activity any day. Prayers for you! ❤
I can sure empathize with Reese. I got emotional watching her tear up. Bless her heart! When I was gymnast, I would get mental blocks. It is very common, and I hope the therapy works wonders for her. Reese is an awesome tumbler and has the ability to do this. I'm rooting for her...sending thoughts, prayers, hugs her way! 💗💐
I had a mental block with anything past a back handspring as well. Right when I was around her age as well. Everyone in the world could tell me I had it but I just couldn’t do it. I never had a bad fall it just came up one day of what if I did get hurt doing this? My hands would sweat so bad and so much anxiety just thinking about it. It scared me away from cheerleading so I think she should be proud where she is and that she is continuing to be brave and try to work past this and figure it out! One of my biggest regrets is letting fear take away my passion ❤
I’m definitely not as a high tumbler as Reese I’m currently working on my BWO and I wouldn’t say it’s a mental block but it is definitely a challenge for me to overcome the fear of doing it. Same thing with a one handed cartwheel I don’t believe in myself. I’m trying. I believe in you Reese you are such a great tumbler
Don’t worry girl! I just had my cheer tryouts this past week and only 13 girls tried out and 10 got on. I was one of the girls cut which made me really sad because I’ve done cheer before and my best friend who’s never done cheer made the team. So don’t worry!
Awe Reese I 100% feel the mental block I had the same thing when I was a swimmer I have scoliosis and doing flip turns gave me so much anxiety going into the wall. I had one incident where I wasn’t able to push of the wall under water cause it hurt so bad. You’ll do great keep pushing remember how amazing you are girly!!
I feel for this so much! I personally do competitive cheer( I actually went against Reese in summit and NCA). Me and my sister who is 3 years younger were on the same team this past year because I couldn’t level up because of my mental block. So when tryouts came up this year I was super nervous and I was debating whether or not I should tryout because I was embarrassed, cause I knew my sister would throw all her level 4 skills and I wouldn’t which would make me feel less. Anyway I ended up not trying out and now that i have to start watching from the side I regret not trying. Although its a hard journey through a mental block its all worth it. keep pushing reese!💙
Reese is such a good tumbler and I know she will come back stronger and better then she ever has!! Keep up the good work and I am praying for you that you get moved up❤️
the best advice I can give as a cheer coach is to not give the "block" so much attention. It's all a mind game and you have to learn how to trick the mind. She will get it and back to where she was, her tumbling is beautiful.
Reese!! Ty for sharing abt ur struggles!!! We are all rooting for u!! Hopefully u can make it 🤞 I’m praying for u Reese!! And I hope perri gets her shoes lol!! ❤
Mental blocks are so tough. Especially when you know the physicality is there. I’ve gone through it before and overcame it. Keep working at it, Reese. Remember you’re capable, breathe through it, block out the noise, try and remain calm (easier said than done) I know and most importantly always remember you’re tenacity and fighting spirit! You’ve got this, Reese - soon the mental block will be a thing of the past and something you help another team member overcome! It happens to us all at some point! 🤍
Reese, I just wanted to let you know you’re not alone. Im an excel gymnast, and wanted to make gold this year. Although I didn’t make the team because of the same reason of you, mental blocks and fears. They’re also re-testing me. I was so upset. I cried sooooo much. But I’m really happy that I found you, and how I can relate to you.
Even as a musician, if I’m playing a solo or at an audition, my mind will keep telling me I will mess up or not be able to play a difficult part correctly. I have to keep “tricking” my mind by telling it I can do it and I won’t mess up and that I’m going to do great! I also trick my mind into pretending I’m at home by myself playing great with no pressure of being watched or judged. 😅
I have had a mental block for like 2 years and quit gymnastics but now I am doing cheer and I can’t do my round off handspring that’s what I struggle with but I can be a standing tuck I just struggle with added on skills to other ones
I adore you guys ❤❤❤ is it only when she gets to tryouts where she has mental blocks or is it all the time? You’ve got this Reese , I’m so proud of you girlie and you to peri. Shana and Cory you guys are the best parents. I’m so happy you take such great care of them.
ive done gymnastics since i was 7 and just started doing cheerleading.i have a mental block that wont let me do any back tumbling other then a walkover. the main reason is trust issues cuz my coach (gymnastics) always dropped me when spotting. i can totally trust my cheer coach so i am working up to higher skills. I just hate mental blocks! all my coaches in the past have said i am 100% capable of back handsprings, back tucks whatever but i just cant seem to accually do it. wish me luck. Comp is in November.
Reese you got this I use to have a block and I went to a therapist and he helped a lot now I made it on my middle school competitive cheer team love you guys, congrats Perri ❤❤
I have the same tumbling issue like I throw my tuck with my mom standing there and not spotting me but when it comes to doing it by myself I freak out. Luckily the coaches at my new gym are really nice and spot me and I still made a level 3. So you got this girl
You guys are awsome I love your family and you got it reese dont let it get in your head I believe in you. Perri I love the confidence you guys can do it you are both strong and you have amazing parents love you❤
I had an athlete with a rough mental block and she went to hypnotherapy for athletes and she was able to tumble!!!! It took a few months but she did it!!!
This touched my heart so much when I was 9 I could throw a running full and a standing full and one competition day backstage my level 5 coed team was warming up and I over rotated and pulled out of my full and landed on my shoulder blade and had a mental block for 2 years and could barely do a back handspring the only thing that got me to get back where I was was doing it at my own pace and privates
I could hear the pain in her voice talking about how it went. I tried out this year and it was my first year not making the school team after 8 years. Not sure if I should try again next year
Sorry if I’m like a random person but if you really really want to be on the team agin I bet you can do it if you try your best. and yes I don’t know you but I know your amazing ❤❤
Thank you so much for your experience I really needed it. I’m not an all star cheer or any of that. I’m on school cheer and right now I am in sixth grade going into seventh grade and I start here seventh grade cheer and I was invited to junior varsity which you’re supposed to be on middle school in my grade so I’m on that team now but I’ve this huge mental block and I can’t get it away thank you for the advice you got this Reese stay strong
Don’t worry Reese mental blocks make me emotional too. I have a mental block for my roundoff backhandspring. So when we did gymnastic evaluations I did not make the team I wanted because I was too scared. One tip I have is to just prepare yourself to do it in your brain and tell urself u can do it.
Reese I had a mental block to but I’m not as good as you I got my mental block in July and I could not do my round off hand spring and I was scared to go backwards and I had a sub in my tumbling class and I finally was able to do it sometimes it could be change in coach but my first tumbling coach didn’t really help me by spotting and second one did and once you get those skills back trust me you do come back way stronger I went from level 1 to level 2 and I had 3 months to get every skill and it only took two and I’m learning my tuck now and also I got out of my mental block in feb and my tryouts were same day as you because I’m in one of the two gyms that you guys compete against but Reese trust me it will go away it will get better just keep hoping it’s kind of like baking a cake.
I'm so proud of you guys! Being happy after hard things happen is hard so I'm glad you guys are doing better! I used to do cheer and I had a mental block too. I wasn't as high level as you, only level 1 bc I couldnt get my back walkover. It took 4 years of tumbling classes (i did 2 years of just tumbling, then did wreck cheer, then i was on a navous team, and then I quit during the season cause of coaches problems. But anyways, like I said I couldn't do my back walkover bc of the fear of falling backwards. I didn't give up and eventually I got it on the day of tryouts, then I couldn't do it again. I quit cheer so I wish I could tell you if I can do it now, but just know that you can get past that fear!!🫶🏻❤️ also good job perri! I'm so happy for you!❤️🫶🏻
I feel so much for Reese! I have a mental block currently that won’t allow be to throw anything anymore (even just a back handspring)! It’s really hard but I’m trying to get over it and I hope Reese does too!!
I wanted to try out for a level three team but a few weeks ago I landed on my neck doing a round off back handspring tuck even thought I had done it so many times before and I made a youth 2 but it’s okay
Reese you’re so strong don’t let the block get to you! You’re so good at cheer I myself am a competitive cheerleader and I am a flyer getting over mental blocks can be tough but just keep pushing and you’ll get there!
good job Reese and perri, u both are amazing cheerleaders and i hope it all works out with getting rid of your mental block reese! thanks for sharing these types of vids ur family is amazing, Luv Yall!
so just to be clear as of now both girls are on voltage? i am so proud of them and i am keeping my fingers crossed that they get the news they want as the season progresses. the girls should be so proud at what they have been able to accomplish in such a short amount of time in their cheer careers!!! only 3-4 years and they are like little professionals.
I love you guys so much and I hope that they get what they want I really really prayed for Reese and great job Perry and Reese just know we are all here for you no matter what we love you ❤
Reese I understand everything your feeling I’ve had a mental block on my tuck for a long time and you very much are an amazing tumbler and Ik that it’ll be over before you know it and YOU WILL come back stronger than ever! 🫶 I wish you the best and I believe in you 🩷🩷
I also have a mental block, but even though I have my fault already, I am scared to do my back handspring and I also did not throw my back handspring at tryouts but I did all my other level three skills so
Hi Guys I'm so emotion when watching this video and feel so bad for Reese and I want her to know that I’ll be praying for her and I know she’s capable to do so much!
Hey girls, the best advice I can give you is stay strong and think positive, also I hope you guys can do another family night or morning routine. It’s been a while also when your kids finish school.
Omg your family is so pretty your so lucky to have such a nice family! I love canes and next year I’m going to rival athletics ! I love your family TH-cam channel and TikTok acc ! Pin?📍 🎉❤
My heart hurts for Reese because I’ve been a gymnast for around 12 years and I had the exact same mental block and it’s so beyond frustrating. Her tumbling is great and she will get over it!
I felt so much emotion watching this video and feel so bad for Reese and I want her to know that I’ll be praying for her and I know she’s capable to do so much!
she is capable, thank you for believing in her.
Same
Good job peree and reese good job for trying so hard love y'all
EMDR therapy changed my life, i am so glad yall are getting reese that help because it really will be worth it in the long run!!
What is that? Is it expensive?
Your girls eat, sleep, and breathe cheer! That is inspiring and admirable in its own right. They should be proud!💘
Reese, thank you for being vulnerable and letting us in on your personal struggle when you didn’t have to- you are becoming such a lovely young woman! Thanks Maria, Kesley says "hi" by the way. she is having a wonderful time
@@TheLeRoys aww tell kesley “hi”!! Tell her I’m so proud of her and she is inspires me!! Love you all ❤️❤️
I ride horses and still have mental blocks quite often. But I love what I do, and I try to block out anything negative.
I see Kesley in Reese so much!! I LOVE all of y’all so much. Praying that Reese will be more confident in herself! She is so beautiful and deserves so much!! She is a great cheerleader and and and amazing young woman!!💕💕

I also have mental blocks when I do certain skills and i just get scared and stuff so I totally understand how you felt or feel!!❤
Reese, you are not alone. I am having the exact same problem right now with my tumbling. Praying for you!!

Reese youve got this! You always do an amazing job. Perri you are such a supportive little sister. You are both going to kick butt this season.
when I read the title I got so scared. And, I’m so proud of perri! I hope that reese gets the team she wants because, I hate to see her sad like that.
So amazing, looks so fun! I wish I could tumble.

Reese your coaches know what you’re capable of and you are an amazing young lady! You can do anything you set your mind too. ❤
Seeing Reese upset made me so sad but so nice to see the vulnerable side of her she’s an amazing tumbler and will definitely get there c
I had a mental block with high jump, I would run to the jump and my body would just stop. Sport psych will help you so much xx
Reese you got this I use to have a block and I went to a therapist and he helped a lot now I made it on my middle school competitive cheer team love you guys, congrats Perri ❤❤
Happy Tuesday Leroy Family!! God Bless!! ❤️❤️❤️❤️
Perri I love the confidence you guys can do it you are both strong and you have amazing parents love you❤
love your support, thank you
@@TheLeRoys Anytime we love and I would always keep the confidence up for your family.
I had an athlete with a rough mental block and she went to hypnotherapy for athletes and she was able to tumble!!!! It took a few months but she did it!!!
I love watching you guys. They are so good at cheerleading!!!!!!
Omggg sameee
I just got over my 2 year mental block , it rlly sucked but trust me you’ll get through it
The title made me so excited to see this and I love y’all hope u get 1000 more subs
i have a mental block for my back hand spring its been hard. but i just joined a new gym and its so much better!
I love your videos, Reese and Peri are so good at cheer.❤
Thank you so much for your experience I really needed it. I’m not an all star cheer or any of that. I’m on school cheer and right now I am in sixth grade going into seventh grade and I start here seventh grade cheer and I was invited to junior varsity which you’re supposed to be on middle school in my grade so I’m on that team now but I’ve this huge mental block and I can’t get it away thank you for the advice you got this Reese stay strong
I do EMDR therapy for my anxiety and it has helped me a lot. I really love it
Don’t worry Reese mental blocks make me emotional too.
Thank you, we will keep working hard at it. hope you have a great season this year
@@TheLeRoysThank you hope to see you guys during comp season
EMDR therapy works miracles! My experience with it was wonderful I really hope it helps!
Y’all are such a beautiful family and ya’ll will always be my favorite family and y’all are all so great
The end helped me so much. I have a mental block in running tumbling skills too and it really sucks😓
Aww I love this family so much!! ❤️🥰
I wanted to try out for a level three team but a few weeks ago I landed on my neck doing a round off back handspring tuck even thought I had done it so many times before and I made a youth 2 but it’s okay
Oh no, that is scary. You got this, keep working hard
@@TheLeRoys thank you so much!
Good job girls. Everyone is still so proud of you. No matter what team you make y’all are awesome.
Reese you’re so strong don’t let the block get to you! You’re so good at cheer I myself am a competitive cheerleader and I am a flyer getting over mental blocks can be tough but just keep pushing and you’ll get there!
When I got my team I got upset because I thought I was going to get on a big girl team because I have my back walkover but I got the same level
Well done girl you are the best ❤❤❤
good job Reese and perri, u both are amazing cheerleaders and i hope it all works out with getting rid of your mental block reese! thanks for sharing these types of vids ur family is amazing, Luv Yall!
so just to be clear as of now both girls are on voltage? i am so proud of them and i am keeping my fingers crossed that they get the news they want as the season progresses. the girls should be so proud at what they have been able to accomplish in such a short amount of time in their cheer careers!!! only 3-4 years and they are like little professionals.
Yes they are both on voltage. Thank you for your kind comment. ❤️
Is voltage senior 3?
@@KGBTrio-2024 junior 3
@@KGBTrio-2024I’m pretty sure it’s jr 3
I love you guys so much and I hope that they get what they want I really really prayed for Reese and great job Perry and Reese just know we are all here for you no matter what we love you ❤

I am so proud of y’all I made a cheer team for a school I few months ago
Reese I understand everything your feeling I’ve had a mental block on my tuck for a long time and you very much are an amazing tumbler and Ik that it’ll be over before you know it and YOU WILL come back stronger than ever! 🫶 I wish you the best and I believe in you 🩷🩷
it is ok resse i am a cheer leader to and i get how stressful it is we are here for you
Where did Reese get her jacket from at 8:40
I had a mental block for anything backwards and it made me quit, keep going Reese❤️
I also have a mental block, but even though I have my fault already, I am scared to do my back handspring and I also did not throw my back handspring at tryouts but I did all my other level three skills so
Hi Guys I'm so emotion when watching this video and feel so bad for Reese and I want her to know that I’ll be praying for her and I know she’s capable to do so much!
thanks for sharing reese. i have the same problem as well, its good to know that there's other people that has the same problem as me.
Hey girls, the best advice I can give you is stay strong and think positive, also I hope you guys can do another family night or morning routine. It’s been a while also when your kids finish school.
aww Reese you tried your best and your helping other girls that have the same thing i hope you make it
Hopefully they will both have the opportunity to crossover. Although, it will be really fun to see them compete on Voltage together.
I have the same tumbling issue too😕
2:45 that EXACT thing happened to me on my head 😭😭
Omg your family is so pretty your so lucky to have such a nice family! I love canes and next year I’m going to rival athletics ! I love your family TH-cam channel and TikTok acc ! Pin?📍 🎉❤
We would love to see you at Rival.
My heart hurts for Reese because I’ve been a gymnast for around 12 years and I had the exact same mental block and it’s so beyond frustrating. Her tumbling is great and she will get over it!
