From Seed To Spirit: Storing Malting Barley

As The Borders Distillery wait for their Laureate spring barley to be malted at our Tweed Valley Maltings in Berwick-upon-Tweed, we visit our Craigswalls Grain Store, which is where the barley is being stored.
In this episode, our Quality Manager Cole Mather revisits harvest and chats about the quality parameters needing to be met before the barley is accepted into our sites.
He then talks about barley drying and storage conditions, before determining when The Borders Distillery's barley will be malted at our Tweed Valley Maltings.
