    Thank you for the great review! I already ordered one, and waiting for it to arrive.
    I like the idea behind this Bible, being centered on the text and the story, rather than chapter and verse division. I am very glad they fixed the transition from Acts 21 to 22. This one thing in particular bothers me in most Bibles, so I'm glad you pointed that out.
    I like the layout of the text, paragraph indentations without subtitles, absence of even page summaries at the top margins, no spaces between chapters. Awesome. Now if only someone at Cambridge were brave enough to take this Bible and go one step further and just remove all chapter and verse numbers, and make a reader's edition out of it.
    This edition seems like a perfect "in-between" one, where you could read the text with minimal distraction, and still have a full usability in quickly finding your reference - whether listening to or preaching a sermon, studying the Scripture, or when you need to quickly write down the reference with your thoughts when something jumps out during casual Bible reading (if you don't write in your Bible, but in a notebook, PC, phone or something).
    More and more I've been gravitating toward paragraph style Bibles (as opposed to verse-by-verse layout) or better yet, full reader's editions, but I've yet to find a perfect one of those. In each case they at least retain chapter division by spacing them out on a page, or putting a chapter number in light font so your cannot help but be interrupted in the flow of thought by it, defeating the true purpose of the reader's edition in my view.

    I am really liking the look of this Bible. I have dyslexia and trying to read the KJV in verse by verse and small text is proving impossible. I have seen a number of videos/review videos on this Bible and the Clarion. So i have a question, with me attempting to read the KJV Bible from cover to cover, which Bible would you recommended? Any advice would be gratefully received. Many thanks in advance.

      Hi Jayson. This one has a better reading experience. The text is cleaner with no distractions, and the text is brought out of the bend in the inner margin. This keeps the lines straight, making it easier to keep your place on the page.

    Hey Randy, have you noticed if there's a printing error in your copy at 1st Peter 5:1? There is in mine. I ordered the 2005 edition in leather from Cambridge recently after seeing your review. In mine, the verse begins with, 'I exhort', but it should read, " The elders which are among you, I exhort". The first six words of the verse are omitted. Other than that, I think it's a beautiful Bible, but it's a shame to pay 135.00 for a top quality Bible like this and find this type of omission. God bless.

    • @BibleBuyingGuide
      @BibleBuyingGuide  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Mine matches yours. Same for the updated personal size and the electronic version on Logos. I'm not sure if there's a reason it was left out or if it was accidental. I'll see what I can find.

    • @jamestrotter3162
      @jamestrotter3162 3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@BibleBuyingGuide Thanks Randy. I wonder if David Norton was responsible for this or if it is a printer error that no one bothered to correct? I can live with mine the way it is. There was enough room on the page for me to write the first six words of the sentence in ink in about the same size as the print. So far, that's the only place I've found with any problems.

    • @BibleBuyingGuide
      @BibleBuyingGuide  3 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      I heard back from Cambridge. Here's the information they provided: "The error has been corrected and the latest printing should have the missing words."

      I believe there was a huge Folio Society edition with the David Norton's text from 2008 that usually goes for $100-$150. They also have a 2011 2-volume set that is very expensive. The 08 version looks pretty nice for an at home study bible

    I have this in the Personal Size. The text is a little small for me to read comfortably, however. Do you have any remarks or review of the Personal Size? Also, I have a Bible that I can't find anything about, even on Google. It is a Bill Glass KJV Bible. It is light brown/tan in color. It has a football helmet on the front. Have you ever heard of it, and do you know anything about its features and quality? I really like the feel of the paper in the Bill Glass Bible. It has that old, more rough feeling.
    EDIT: I didn't finish the video because I thought I saw everything about the Bible that I wanted to. I see that you have the personal size on the video. Hehe. Sorry about that.
