- Playing on lvl 7 and 8 difficulty for the first time and Helldivers 2 is becoming very tough. With the wrong stratagems and gear, you won't survive.

i gave up after an hour of queue, just gonna wait till they update the servers lol

@@padawanjon6441 Server related, unfortunately. Queue is taking 30+ mins. Starts with black screen. Had the same thing today and took about 40 mins to get in.
Plesase put out a longform for these missions as well. Actually like watching these from start to finish. Truly like a mini movie.
So entertaining watching you, Tomo and the boys over the last week or so playing this game. I'm waiting until the server issues and crashes are dealt with before I dive in. (pun intended) In the meantime, watching you guys has somewhat satisfied my appetite for this game. Just loving the interplay between you guys.
Extremely difficult to even get in a server.
The part I find difficult is getting a team that doesn’t have people trying to rush through the difficulties… Add a level requirement for Difficulty 4 and higher! STOP THE SWARM OF WEAK PLAYERS THROWING DIFFICULTY 4 RUNS!

the hardest difficulty in the game is starting up the game. first you have to make it through the black screen, then after that you have to wait in queue. only then you can load into your ship and pray it doesn’t crash

I am playing with some newfound friends, DreamerMoz and Coach and couple of others, and let me tell you nothing makes the game better than playing it with a bunch of cool people.
3 to five sec rush between cover or shooting. You should be planing your path out with 3 to 5 sec between cover. If there is non start shooting...
Im fairly new, every time I sprint and try to pull up stratagems my character full stops...how do I sprint at the same time?
I can't tell if Stod knows that you can have a buddy reload the auto cannon.
finding teammates to play coop is becoming insanely tough
Man I love the game. Got 12 hours in the game, but now stuck on a blackscreen on launch for 2 hours. Tried Re-Installing and every fix listed online. Still not working. I'm frustrated, because I'm having such an incredible time when I did manage to load...
Haha its kinda awesome how the only thing most people are talking about is just server issues. Im sure theres a few "bugs" to fix but the game seems to be finally another one for the books

The robot spawning needs to be reduced dramaticaly, they should be able to call reinforcememt max 3 times.

I will very rarely use controller on PC. If it's an FPS game I am always on keyboard and mouse.

Helldivers 2 is going to die insanely fast if they don't get off their asses and fix the servers soon. Nobody wants to sit in a 45+ minute queue to get into the game, especially when there's a 60% chance that you still won't be able to load into the match or stay connected if you do. They're about to be hit with a wave of refunds because we didn't pay to not be able to play the game.
Wouldnt know, cant play, bet the content creators are getting prior tho. Then they just never log out taking up spots for everyone else. Game peaked and fell off after a week, wild

I have never been given priority over anyone for games or que times. If anything I get early access to some games to showcase them or for sponsored content which is always disclosed. Creators don't get priority ques that I know of. I wait in que like everyone else. I'm sure they are working on their servers.
@@Aculite I dont believe you, ive watch large streamers boot up the game and get right in while im stuck on a black screen on PC. Y'all get priority on Tarkov and GTA servers, i dont believe otherwise for even a second

The Servers are under Automaton attack.
People give devs shit about this, but they didn't anticipate this kind of player numbers, they don't have capacity. It has happened pretty much in every multiplayer game, which became a surprise hit. Kinda dumb that Steam reviews are "mixed" largely because of this. Punished for making a good game. People should show some restraint before leaving a negative review. Lot of them won't bother to correct their reviews later

@ck9801 Hope the review score corrects over time. But there's a huge number of them (122K), it will have permanent effect. Now it went from mixed to mostly positive though, but still.
Original Helldivers was a cult classic, it never even reached 7K peak players in Steam, just barely under 7000. (Which is crazy, considering that the gameplay was just as good and largely same, gun audio and music was just as good, graphics pretty nice, only difference the top-down perspective. It even had local 4-player coop).
How could have they known that the new game gets almost half a million players. More than GTA5 all-time peak on PC. And then there's also PS5, with crossplay so they try to connect to the same servers. That gotta be way over 1 million players in peak hours

Tell Stod to try the Autocannon with a backpack partner and switch it to full auto. That thing does not mess around provided you got the space

Yeah man, it's been 2 weeks now, I know they're working on it, but they need to get this resolved. This is really hurting the game in the long run. A lot of people are refunding it and probably won't come back.
I’ve been playing all weekend managed to get to from level 1 to 10 cause of the 50% exp boost. On ps5 the queue is like 5-10 mins max in the afternoons and quick play started working again on Saturday.

@@GuiiBrazil I've been able to, very recently too. But, because I was having issues with that, what I've found effective 80% of the time is setting up a mission on the navdeck and then waiting and normally at least one if not three people will join within a minute and start the mission. Then do a couple missions with those people in succession. It worked for me. 😊

Hahaha. That’s my issue as well. Made it into one game today, stayed in for an hour. Closed the game by accident, haven’t been back in since.

For Democracy
If you're going railgun I would would recommend shield, rover, or supplie backpack. The shield will protect you from getting knocked around and slowed by bugs when it's active.
This game in Warhammer or Halo universe would have been dope.

I haven’t had trouble getting into the game but I can’t find lobbies to join and I can’t get a lot of resources solo

As cool as this game is, I can’t help but feel a bit concerned that it might the militaristic satire might fall deaf on people’s ears, and turn them blindly patriotic and jingoistic, like how GI Joe did the same to an entire generation of kids back in the 80s, minus the satire. I really hope that this game doesn’t unintentionally become pro-military propaganda, because I like this game, and that’s all I want it to be, nothing else.
If you’re about how GI Joe brought about the very phenomenon I’m concerned about, nerdstalgic has a good video on the topic, which describes how the show “brainwashed a generation”; should be easy to find
Playing against bugs on lvl 8: easy, maybe a little sweat, some tense fights, happy thoughts of democracy.
Bot defense mission on lvl 8: hell, blood sweat and tears, mostly tears, non stop firefights, might cause actual ptsd.
This game is terrible right now. Kick out the afk’s and increase server space. I’m sick of paying for games that are unplayable - in this case hanging out at a loading screen for multiple hours to finally get in and have the matchmaking completely broken.
So according to this guy, fighting against bullet sponges with barely any movement and high damage attacks is qualified as difficult and not tedious gameplay? (especially in a shooter?)
this is the problem i have with this game, out of all the weapons in the game against the bots, railgun is the most viable from damage to ammo, to recharge time which really sucks , as it doesnt add variety of gameplay to the game ...
no one is using rocket launchers anymore on high difficulties against bots...
they really need to limit the secondary weapon types you bring in the group...
i really dont like this thing called "META Loadout" in a game, it makes all the other gears and weapons utterly useless
and the armour thing, the only viable armor is light armor as it gives a lot of stamina and mobility ... no one is using heavy armor
No explosive mortars please. They have their place in defense only, however in all other modes you will kill more allies than you save. Seriously I can solo most levels but then join a team and bam dead due to mortar 5 times every game. If you deploy one I will shoot it. Fun game though enjoy it.

First game on last night and I pass the time by running away from 5 bile titans chasing me exclusively, 3 of them died from friendly fire from the other titans lol
Imo the tracking is broken now. Why can’t I sneak at all now? They need to lean more into a stealth with stealth kill/ silenced weapons play style.

also, if you open your mini map, then right click and hold you can move a cursor on your minimap then place pins or lock in locations for quests

I highly recommend grabbing the impact grenades. they do the same damage as the HE grenade you have by default but its immediate don't got to wait on the fuse
I love using them but you can't destroy the buildings on the automaton side by throwing a nade in the vent.

Can this game be modded?
I just really wish they'd get the servers fixed. I can usually get in since I work nights and play in the early morning, but having no match-making means I'm stuck doing level 3 and under quests since any harder isn't really possible for me to do at my low level. I want to play the game more but I can't until they get it fixed. I understand that they're doing what they can but it's been 2 weeks and people have spent $40-$60 on something that isn't working. The steam reviews are now mixed because of it, and it's really going to hurt the game in the long run.
