for me, the absolute best current Submariner is the 126619LB ... white gold, low key, no over the top blue dial.... it's literally perfect!

None of those. The 14060M is the best of the line. Minimal text on the dial, no obnoxious cyclops, no pretentious ROLEX engraved all around the rehaut and the bezel doesn't look like it's made of plastic. ALSO, you can find them in excellent condition at reputable dealers instead of being put on a wait list and playing games with AD's for the latest submariner models.
Where are all these almost brand new watches coming from... flippers perhaps ??!!

To be honest, Jonathan, I still love my deep sea better than anything but maybe I save up for a black face ceramic Daytona
I bought my first Submariner Date in 1975. Laid out before me were the Submariner, Submariner Date and Sea Dweller. During these pre TH-cam days we did not need help in choosing a model. Dealers only offer their opinions in their quest to boost sales.

As a guy having a Rolex collection of Submariner No-Date🖤, Datejust41 Blue Dial💙, Yacht Master Two-Tone Chocolate Dial🤎 and the GMT-Master II Pepsi❤️💙, I still regret that I could NOT catch and include a HULK 💚 into my collection.
2023 will be the 70th ANNIVERSARY of the Submariner model.
What surprise do you expect from Rolex ?
Do you think they can bring the HULK back ?

Good question. Lovely collection. They may introduce another look. Re the hulk it would be good if they did but we can all only best guess.
