This concert.. it’s not like SHINee’s usual concert but I am glad they did it. It became a venue for them to express themselves, to release, to cry, to talk about Jonghyun and their feelings even briefly.. while surrounded by people they know for sure will understand them. They broke down several times during this con and somehow it’s a relief they were able to release it. Coz it is first step to healing. I, and all the Shawols around me during this con also broke down several times. It was a smile-cry-smile-cry concert, but a special one.
When I first saw the performance and heard the pain in the voices, I saw myself instead of Shinee. when I had to give a speech at the funeral of an important person in my life. Something has to change in the area of K-Pop, there are too many groups and solo artists that radiate outwards and break inside. It's just heartbreaking.
Lily Fuhl this definitely hurts so much I also lost my grandpa in 2017 , I couldn’t attend his funeral I was very hurt that year I definitely understand what is like loosing someone very close to you .I’m sending you all my love and Sending you my condolences I love you thx for sharing your story let’s move forward to protecting the ones that are left 💕💕
Although this SHINee World 2018: The Best From Now On concert -- which was the first concert SHINee held after Jonghyun's death -- is extremely sad, I also enjoy watching it every time because it makes me feel like this is the one time where all Shawols are able to come together with SHINee and actually collectively support, grieve and celebrate together. This concert was the event that makes me feel the closest to the members and fans from all over the world because we are feeling these emotions together. It's super emotional, but it also shows just how important Shawols are to SHINee, and even though everyone, including the members, pretty much cried throughout the show, it was a great moment of catharsis for all of us because it gave us an opportunity to grieve all together. And as you saw, Jonghyun will always be present in everything they do. That concert was held only about 2 months after he died, but it had been planned for months prior to that, so the concert was sold out. Even through their grief the members didn't want to let the fans down and they decided they would continue the concert as planned. I like to think of it as more of a memorial and celebration than a concert. I'm not sure if you realized, but the part where you saw Minho looking at Jonghyun's mic was particularly emotional because the voice you heard singing during that part of the song was Jonghyun's voice. And at the end, right after Onew's part that made you cry, that epic high note was also Jonghyun's voice and the very last line was sung by him as well. This was originally a song sung by all 5 of the members. So, as part of the tribute to Jonghyun, they had him perform his part of the song. The haunting part is that this song was recorded long before Jonghyun died, but now after everything that has happened, it has taken on a whole new meaning and importance. And the lyrics couldn't be more beautiful and fitting for th message they are trying to give. This is why we love SHINee so much. Because they had been planning this concert for a long time before Jonghyun's death, everything was prepared with all five of them involved, so they had to go back and rework everything and learn how to do everything they would normally do without him. I am always impressed, because even though they were all super emotional, they were able to still sing so beautifully and were able to put on such a magnificent performance. The deserve all the respect and admiration that they get. The members all vowed that SHINee will always be 5 and that Jonghyun will always be involved in everything they do. And during the concert when they performed the choreo for some of their most iconic songs they intentionally left Jonghyun's spot open and only filled in for him when something just wouldn't work without someone in that position. I think we are always going to have reminders of him in all that SHINee does from now on, and that is the way it should be. He was loved and will never be forgotten, and when possible, should always be involved in things that have to do with SHINee. When you eventually get around to watching this whole concert, you will see that they even had Jonghyun with them on the screen singing his parts of some of their songs -- so not only did we get to hear him, but we saw him as well. Another one of SHINee's songs that has now turned into a tribute song for Jonghyun, that they also performed at this concert is "Diamond Sky." If you haven't seen that performance yet, you should check it out. It's another emotional one, but it's worth it. We have been through a lot in the last 2 1/2-plus years. But I think SHINee and Shawols have only become stronger and more tightly bonded through it all. It's Jonghyun's legacy that keeps us strong and has taught us all to be resilient. You did well Jonghyun, our angel and diamond in the sky. You did well and will never be forgotten. OT5 forever and ever.
God this makes me cry. I remember when I was streaming someone's audio from their concert live and boy I didn't know this song but i understand japanese here and there and I understood enough words to know the meaning to some of the lyrics but boy did I bawl my eyes out. Not only did I hear this but the people crying next to the one who was streaming the concert by audio. It was heartbreaking to say the least.
I just stumbled on this video and I could feel your sincerity and it really touched me. I've stanned SHINee for so long and I'm always worried of people using our angel for views but I am so happy to see new loyal fans who respect and admire them. Our kings are coming back soon and we're going to show them that we're still here too 💎
My heart is with you luv. It's so sad and unfortunate that this is apart of being a shawol. Our memories and pain are there. But we are left with four beautiful boys to love and cherish for us, for them and we need to love them especially for jonghyun. Because that fifth angel is watching over us. Knowing how much jonghyun loves and cherishes his brothers we should be his voice. To keep treasuring them and being there biggest fan. Be the fan that jonghyun would have been for his members. Always remember and forever support our five guys from now on.
Nina Williams it’s truly heartbreaking to loose such a gentle soul but I promise to always show my support as a fan thank you so much for introducing me to this group 💕💕💕
I actually avoided watching this video. I was so afraid that I cannot handle it. and still it is so much hurting and difficult for me. But I could watch this woth your reaction. thank you. I love you and miss you, Jonghyun.
This performance always leaves me emotional and it’s because you can hear how emotion they are. Some are crying and singing you can hear the difference. It’s so sad.

@@mj-reacts3144 I totally agree with you, I'd like to go to the boys, hug them and help them deal with it. I know the pain well they're going through.

Angelic voices have no equal for me! Shinee is the band that makes me cry and laugh! Love them!!!
rosica hadjiiska agreed

It has been five years since the tragedy and I am still sad. But thank you for sharing your grief with me.
