Often at crossings that have multiple tracks I see impatient bicyclists & pedestrians that immediately cross over right after only 1 train passes while the gates are still down for the last few seconds not thinking a second train might be approaching on the other track.
That is very fortunate and surprising no one was killed I believe track speed through there is 60 mph for freights and 90 or 95 mph for passenger trains
Rather than have each province their own laws, all RxR safety should have the same laws and penalties! People who are negligent, should lose their license to drive, period!
They're truck drivers and they're the biggest on the road so it's probably common that they feel a false sense of security. Trucks maybe big but the trains are bigger. There's always a bigger fish

@@lesreed7943let’s say hypothetically that after looking both ways and going through the crossing before you have completely crossed the tracks a train that you didn’t see comes around a curve and the lights start flashing and the gates start coming down. Situations like that do happen.

The one you need for the current speed. It does not matter which one, just do not shift becasue you might stall on tracks.
