Hi Kyle just watched your video, really pleased to see you're dreams are finally coming true😁 You are a credit to your generation you should be very proud of yourself for what you have achieved so far. Well done, never give up, really proud of both of you, Was lovely to work with you both and be your friend.
Love these videos, I’m applying for Paramedic science through UCAS for the coming September. It makes me so excited to get stared and really inspired by you :)
Charlotte Bostock I’m glad my videos come of help for you - it really means a lot to see comments like this so thank you Charlotte :) please keep me informed on how you do via UCAS!!!
I am so excited for this September as I start my Paramedicine course and cant stop watching uni prep (medic) videos. The 2 year wait (since finishing my a levels) was well worth it! I believe that working alongside Paramedics with St John has really helped boost my CV and improve my chances on getting a place! 😄
I have just found your channel and it's amazing I want to be a paramedic when I get older and your channel has made me want to do it even more and good luck on becoming a paramedic x
Tom Rogers thank you Tom - really appreciate it honestly. I’ll pass on your love ( she may even see your comment. Glad you enjoyed the video and I hope they come as some help for you
I really want to be a paramedic, I've always admired everything about them, and I want to pursue it through university next year but my parents aren't supportive at all and think it's a waste of money and time. Do you have any advice as to what things to do volunteering wise to help secure an interview? I love your channel so much, thank you for taking the time to read this :) x
Lucy Hooley seems like you have the same admiration as myself... my advice could be to Focus on what you want, and as horrible as it sounds you need to put yourself first and do things that make you happy. Maybe join SJA to gain first aid skills, try and secure a role at either a hospital or care home. I worked at a care home for three years and gained so much experience. Thank you for the great comment, if you want to follow me on Instagram I can maybe give you some better advice!
Lucy Hooley Hay, I’m the same position as you and I want to apply for paramedic science next next. I’ve got good experience in hospitals and care homes. Did you get onto paramedic science as u posted this message nearly a yr ago
Interesting video and congratulations on achieving your dream. Keep up the good work. For anyone thinking about doing paramedic science or anyother healthcare related career, go for it, I work within Operating Theatres myself but, being part of one massive team that helps people through what could be the scariest, lowest event of their life gives you a feeling that I can't explain but, you will not get that feeling from anywhere else.
If you don’t drive then how are you on a paramedic course? Could you please tell me the process of getting on the course and what you studied before hand as I’m quite anxious about the unknown xx
Can relate so much to this about your year 8 situation. My dream is to be a paramedic as well, I’ve got a conditional offer for Coventry University and i need to get DMM in Health and Social Care Level 3. Hopefully I get there but I’m really struggling with assignments at the minute. If you could take the time to reply to this comment a motivate me it would mean a lot.
hello jaidan, if it makes you feel any better before university i was the the exact same shoes as you. i left school with little confidence and went to college and studied level three extended diploma in health and social care. this obtained by the grades to apply for university. you have smashed the interview process! (hope the university interview tips have helped when going through the process! youre already so close!
I want to be a paramedic when I leave school. I’ve always fantasised from when I was little about being a paramedic and now I can’t wait to leave school. I’m 14 so yeah
Well done for getting there !! Amazing ! How do the placements work ? Are you assigned with two other paramedics or one ? When in the ambulance ? Well done again !! Hope the year has been well for you
Hey, I guess I’m a little like you, I wasn’t the smartest, I’ve had a dream to be a paramedic since I was 10 years old. I’ve been to college twice already trying to get the grades I need but I had a baby in the middle of my exams last time and as you can imagine didnt get the grades I needed and took a year off, he’s now 14 months and I’m 21. I’m now about to do a course that will get me into paramedic science hopefully at Worcester September 2021. I might cry once finally get to put that uniform on. I’ve tried so hard, overcome and fought through so many obstacles and I can’t wait to finally feel like I’ve made it. And I’ve just realised you’re about to go into your final year😱, did you volunteer to help with the COVID rush? If so how did you find it? Also how’s it going on the course are you still enjoying it? Do you recommend Worcester?
What was your gcses like? I'm interested in the requirements for being a paramedic and is A levels recommended to do in bio maths or Chem or is it pointless to do A levels for paramedic?
Taseen Hussain I didn’t do a levels I did btec. Much easier with 0 exams and gives the same same amount of credits and meets the requirements. It was a no brainer for me and much easier route x
Oh definitely! Just get an underpinning knowledge... it will go a very long way. Look over all all the body systems and what is involved in each, the organs and what they do!
For the uni I want to go to I need A-level biology maths and another science subject but to do A-level maths I need a 6 in GCSE but because I’m doing foundation maths I can only get up to a 5 which I’m really upset about 😕
I can’t speak on behalf of every university, However it’s my understanding that you have to fund your own stethoscope. Thank you for subscribing! Really means a lot & I hope you get something from the channel if you haven’t already!
I applied for Worcester this year. I think I was close to getting in but something obviously let me down at my interview :( I'd be studying alongside you, otherwise! Any tips for interviews next year? I really struggle at interviews full stop. I'm usually confident when talking to random strangers but for some reason, when it comes to interviews, I just can't put myself across well. Maybe it's performance anxiety idk.
Athulhu my tips would be - Preparation ( plan out the questions you think will be asked and have answers already planned out ) Attend as many open days as possible ( the more hey recognise you face the better ) Record yourself to your phone and pretend it’s a formal interview and watch it back and see where you went wrong - ask people to ask you questions about the course ect so you can answer them confidently

Well said!
I am in year 9. But in 5 years time, I am hoping to get in Wolverhampton or Derby University and study paramedic science and become a paramedic.
keep up the great work! its brilliant that you know what you want... now work really hard in school and plan how you will get there.
Make sure you get a driving licence and it would be worth getting into St Johns Ambulance as a cadet first
If you don’t drive then how are you on a paramedic course? Could you please tell me the process of getting on the course and what you studied before hand as I’m quite anxious about the unknown xx

would you like me to do a video on this?

What stethoscope you got? Is it littmann classic or cardiology?
kyle atkinson hello. I got litmann classic buddy
@@2OrdinaryGuys do the university pay for it or do you have to buy it yourself? Btw really loving your Channel and have subscribed 👍

Why did your class laugh? I am starting college in September with the long term goal of joining the ambulance service!

Uniform looks like ambulance uniform
Aftab zaman no shit 😂😂😂,he a student paramedic for the ambulance service
