I’m SO damn excited for volume 3. I’ve been checking every month since the announcement and now it’s finally happening!! I preordered immediately and yes the ancient world is the biggest thing I want from this. The time of the ancients is my most beloved lore of ff14 and god I have so many questions that will probably never be answered Dx
2:59 Well, we already know why - it was stated in game. Those who wear white are basically diplomats or advisors. 11:00 The reason their leader isn't listed is because the lore books reflect the state of the world at the time of their release, so for this one, that would be 6.5. Meaning they don't have a leader any more.
@@StoutHelm Square wants to make me poor. Planing on getting every artbook and all three EE. Best part is that EE3 releases right on my birthday. You love to see it!
Payday couldn't be further away....! But I'm looking forward to seeing if there's info on the lost lands of the 1st, The Heart of Sabik, The Northern Empty and de-fogged Ilsabard and Othard where Dalmasca is (Hopium)
If you're into the finer details of the lore there is a ton of information in them. A lot of things that there is just no easy way to add into the game naturally because of all of the minute detail. The only problem that I have had is that the font on the pages is incredibly small print and I had to get a magnifier to read volumes 1 and 2. If they had made the font bigger, it probably would have added 50 pages or so but I would have paid extra for that. Volumes 1 and 2 are around 300 pages each as it is.
If you enjoy the setting and characters of the game, I’d say yes. Like Frost commented, they go into much greater detail than the game really permits. You also get new art and some in game items for your purchase.
@@StoutHelmHow much are the lore books? I know it's 50$ to preorder book 3 right now but is that the price for each one or.....?? I'd eventually love to get these, starting backwards with volume 3 itself.
Great video Saint Nick!
Glad you enjoyed it
I just picked up EE vol 1 and 2 and preordered my vol 3. I have been putting off picking these up for long enough! Great video!
Good choice!

I'm pumped for this book. I feel like it will have a lot of answers for that period of time.

Watch how they say the third scarifice was a bunch of animals and Venat turns into a radical PETA advocate.😂

10:00 Pretty much sums up the whole Hrothgar situation.
They deserve better tbh
I would really like if it you could provide your fans with more content. Two uploads a week would be fantastic.
18:00 probably all of them are class Quest characters
Chat told me a lot of them were Sage characters, so I think you’re right.
sick af
tell me about these encyclopedias? what do they tell and do u think its worth it?

They usually confirm what is commonly accepted in lore. But sometimes they give small details that open up things for interpretation and suspicion.
You alive dude?
Still alive, just been insanely busy. Going to get back into the video production soon, sorry it’s taken me so long.
Where is the German Edition!? No exist!? Why translate Square Enix this not in German!? And in France!? Why english only!?
Hey, new player here, when its best to start reading those books? Ive read somewhere volume 1 covers arr and hw, volume 2 stormblood, is that correct?
Yes, 1st one covers ARR and HW, 2nd covers SB and some pick up bits from HW and volume 3 will feature things from ShB and EW
