UPDATE: It does have a Webcam Zoom in the settings as seen at 1:20 of this video. I tried it, but the camera can't seem to follow me around. It's staring at an empty seat beside me. 😰👻 Also, PureShot turns photos to grayscale. We need to go to Insta360 app's Album, and apply PureShot to regain the colors. Already tried doing Factory Reset, same result. UPDATE 2: Firmware v1.0.60 is now available in their website www.insta360.com/download/insta360-x3
It seems that there's no option to fix the rounded effect for now. The X3 screen is off, so no settings to adjust. I only used the Camera app included in Windows 10 during the video, so no settings to modify as well. I'll check other camera apps later. Edit: Here's some camera apps that I found: 'Cyberlink YouCam' has the auto face detection/zoom, which is smooth af, but has no option for fixing the rounded effect. 'Webcamoid' has the auto face detection/zoom as well but can't seem to make it output to other programs, and very high CPU and RAM usage.
Considering that it is a rather unique 360-degree camera, it seems very odd that they have chosen to incorporate a webcam function into this camera. There would clearly be plenty of other more exciting and relevant features that they could add to the product instead of a very basic webcam. :)
