With that being said, it's actually fun seeing you play in CN! and even hear you speak my favorite language auwdawd.

Must've been because of my constant self Chinese reading and multiple games with Chinese servers playing result

my 14 years of mandarin as a second language have prepared me for this >:) this level of chinese is literally all i can hope to comprehend after leaving high school half a decade ago, wow. that sure gives me something to think about :') on a side note, i wasn't expecting ant to have like, a proper chinese sounding accent? as a non-chinese person from SEA with zero knowledge of actual chinese accents from china, the way ant pronounces stuff like "好, 说, 什么“ with that strong "ou/oh" type of sound aligns with what I imagine as a stereotypical northern accent? like, i would not have guessed that he was from an anglophone country from his chinese accent. that's pretty impressive!
Really enjoy this. Probably a side note, the reason Ganyu has been interpreted as the F-word: the way you pronounce "gan" ends with a very heavy glottal sound, which makes it sounds like "gan-nge-yu". Next time try to split the two characters a bit more, it will help.
I am Chinese, and the English of this up is so clear that I can roughly understand it even without English-Chinese translation, which is helpful for me to learn English, so I quickly followed this up. (Google Translate)❤😊

I play with English subtitles, but CN voice over eversince I downloaded the other languages. I am a huge fan of the language, but I never knew that I will like their dubbing a little way too much. Idk why, maybe because hoyo is a cn company or not- but the cn dub is the best in my honest and humblest opinion. It's the most natural for me, and they capture the emotions so well. I highly disagree about people feeling that chinese dubbers sound like "just reading" because to me, they bring out the highest emotions inside me in the simplest way.
With that being said, it's actually fun seeing you play in CN! and even hear you speak my favorite language auwdawd.
Nowadays in China, compared to the Japanese voice or English voice ,players prefer Chinese voice ,but before Genshin Impact appeared,Chinese players use Japanese voices more than any other voice, including their mother tongue.mihoyo changed people’s attitudes towards Chinese voice!
Sorry my English is poor,I hope my words could convey my option…

WANNA SEE U AND FRED DOING 24 HOUR ONLY CHINESE CHALLENGE PLSS
As Chinese American this is a very accurate representation of us googling and being confused of weird pronounciation and not being able to read and write 👍
I'm Chinese and I just couldn't stop laughing while watching this video. Your broken Chinese is really fun(and cuteXDDD) 😂I think I look the same when I speak English haha
and sorry for my broken English, this comment took me about 10 mins:D I have no brain cells left now
Honestly reminds me of myself, but luckily, due to how I've been getting more interested in Chinese comics, novels and games, especially with genshin and certain novels, I somehow was able to improve my Chinese a lot to the point that after I took a break from genshin (I first started while lacking quite a big chunk of my Chinese) and came back, I was practically able to read most of the things. Must've been because of my constant self Chinese reading and multiple games with Chinese servers playing result
I've been learning for 2 years, and watching ant struggle is truly the funniest thing ever! We should all fight our bosses.. that'll end very well!
I play with Japanese, but English subtitles, because they're voices are so~
10:50 since I’m JAPANESE player(not Chinese lol) I can understand some Chinese because we stole Chinese and use kanji, but main status is hp, and then hp, EM, and defense is my thinking 😂 it’s kinda cool if you understand Japanese you can understand some Chinese even if I can’t speak or actually read, or write 😊
(And if anyone need this, in Japanese this artifact would looks like “Hp, hp, 元素熟知,防御力lol)
I’m Chinese and I’m studying Japanese!!

As a person who is pretty fluent in speaking chinese, the subtitles were making my fall out of my chair laughing 😭😭😭
the subtitles drank alcohol before this
watched this during the stream and it was so entertaining !! your challenges can get so fun ! ☺️☺️
this is so relatable lmao i love it. the cn va's are truly superior though, i love all their voices and the way they deliver their lines. not to mention listening to all the chinese actually helps me practice it lol
I actually play with Chinese VA and EN subs, might try to play in all Chinese sometimes myself. That also meant is was interesting listening to you guess/learn their Chinese names. Fun part is I couldn’t pronounce Dehya in English cuz I only listened to the Chinese lol. Also felt really cool that I could just listen rather than reading subtitles (my Chinese is even less than a kindergartner’s:/) while understanding most. Awesome job! Hope there’s more videos like this!:D
There is something oddly terrifying when you're pulling and you're surrounded by Qiqi players. It's like a dark ritual is in play.
This was hilarious as a Chinese person, really lightened my mood :))
Hi Ant! I watched this as a recommendation on the homepage and it was sooo hilarious😂 I'm a newbie to this game and I really want to see more videos of you playing this challenge! Last but not least, wish you'll be able to pull more and more qiqis in the future~ (If you're still playing now lol)
As someone who also speaks limited Mandarin, he did good enough and he probably can hold a whole conversation in Mandarin.
Also how he was trying to pronounce the characters was really wholesome. And hearing Ayato/Zhao Lu really caught me off guard bc I didn’t expect Ant going to Ayato 🥲
please do more of these!! this was actually really entertaining to watch
i had years of learning mandarin too, and i don't get to use it tooo often so i'm glad i was able to still understand here frfr >< i had so much fun watching this, ant ^___^
每一次您说“我读不懂”还是什么我感觉到你了!! 每天用英语,过了几年华语慢慢忘了。。。😭😭😭
Anyways this video was so fun to watch oml
As a chinese i dissolved into laughter at the ganyu part😂
I come to TH-cam to watch people play genshin impact in Chinese 😂
I love the Chinese voiceovers the most! But I play the mainstory in EN cause it's easier to follow when there is voiceover for quests
It’s been two months since I’ve watched you.. I’ve been caught up in a lot and lemme just say watching you makes me feel alot better! Thank you :)
i really like hearing ant speak his native language, chinese is a really nice sounding language😭 i hope he does more videos where he does, even if it's just a bit ;3since i love to listen to them while doing homework, but love his content either way :D
i'm learning chinese and i'm a beginner, so ant talking at a simple level is actually super helpful LMAOO
hi ant, please do more chinese speaking/related genshin content, as a chinese descendant, i really enjoyed it 🥰 have a great day!
I WENT DYING WHEN I HEARD AMD SAW THAT MONA SPAMMING ULT💀💀💀
Sheesh, Ant's chinese is suprisingly good though there is some word that he don't know but he's very fluent in it when it comes to speaking
I play with Japanese vo and Spanish text. Now that I'm attempting learning Chinese this was extremely entertaining and fun to see! Great video :))
Drop the japanese audio, it's the worst in the game by an insanely wide margin
"ZHONGLI" = chinese traditional medicine
After 4 years learing Chinese, passing HSK4, this is the only video in Chinese I can fully understand hahahhaha thank you ❤️
哈哈,跟我去看英语视频一样😂
Do you mind chatting with me on a regular basis? I also really want to learn how to proficiently use voice sounds other than Chinese
as a chinese voiceover and text user, I absolutely appreciate this video XD
also do note that the eng dub has some mistranslations or translations that doesn't convey the meaning the og text was supposed to convey so yeah Chinese imo is a different yet the best Genshin experience
The fact that raiden’s name translated to “electric solider” lol
I don't know why but this was pretty sweet and felt really nice to watch. If this ever happens again I would love another video or stream of this!
听ant说中文好好笑啊!😂😂😂
不过其实还是听得懂的
要是你继续练习我相信你能进步的!加油!
I played genshin so much I remember what each and every item/line is so I can play in any language.
希望可以多一點這樣的挑戰,對說中文的粉絲來說是很感動的❤️
Hope there can be more such a challenge, which is very touching for Chinese-speaking fans.
I don't think this youtuber can't speak Chinese,666.

I love how ant’s accent changed when he shifted between english and chinese, it was interesting to notice
說「甘雨」但跑出來的是「干你」真的快笑死我了
螞蟻哥哥的中文口說好厲害,讓我好驚訝
I didn't know you could speak chinese, it was very interesting to hear you speak even if your level is not what it used to be I think it's a great skill :)
as someone who still struggle in chinese despite learning it for years, this is really satisfying to watch cuz i can finally feel like i understand everything 😹
Bro really said “hai” with no regrets. And then immediately regretted it
好好好,我是一个中国大陆人,第一次看外国人用中文来玩游戏,很感兴趣,说真的,跟在国内看视频几乎很像很像,节目效果也是很好的!希望以后可以多更新!

my 14 years of mandarin as a second language have prepared me for this >:)
this level of chinese is literally all i can hope to comprehend after leaving high school half a decade ago, wow. that sure gives me something to think about :')
on a side note, i wasn't expecting ant to have like, a proper chinese sounding accent? as a non-chinese person from SEA with zero knowledge of actual chinese accents from china, the way ant pronounces stuff like "好, 说, 什么“ with that strong "ou/oh" type of sound aligns with what I imagine as a stereotypical northern accent? like, i would not have guessed that he was from an anglophone country from his chinese accent. that's pretty impressive!
He sounds like Taiwanese to me Lmao. Like the ways he pronounces 哥哥gē ge as gě gé haha. Just sounds way too taiwanese
@@peninsula1374 ye my friends say he sounds taiwanese haha.
as a taiwanese, I think he sounds really taiwanese hahaha

IM CRYINGGG THE GOOGLE TRANSLATE FLIPPING OFF ANT (ON THE GANYU TRANSLATION) I ACBTT
As a Greek that learns Chinese it’s nice to hear a language that you love combined with one of your favourite voices video games ^^
It would be awesome if you did a vlog speaking Chinese for 24 hours in a nutshell😂. Love you Ant🫂
I use english as text and Chinese as voice lol, i understand both, so i usually do that lol
Really enjoy this. Probably a side note, the reason Ganyu has been interpreted as the F-word: the way you pronounce "gan" ends with a very heavy glottal sound, which makes it sounds like "gan-nge-yu". Next time try to split the two characters a bit more, it will help.
Hearing ant speak chinese is something so refreshing ❤❤❤
I am Chinese, and the English of this up is so clear that I can roughly understand it even without English-Chinese translation, which is helpful for me to learn English, so I quickly followed this up. (Google Translate)❤😊
As someone who's still learning Mandarin, I use Chinese voiceover with english text to familiarize myself with the language. This was so fun to watch and I'm excited whenever I see people playing genshin in Chinese. Your pronunciation is okay btw.
Ill wait for a day when there are French and German voicelines for Fontaine and Mondstadt
ant this was the hottest thing you’ve ever done. you’re allowed to only speak in chinese from now on
I love it watching people learn Chinese or struggle with chinese
