Fischer defense is probably the most annoying to play against, but definitely not a refutation haha!
The mainline is kind of annoying to play but you can just go into a Muzio line instead and even stockfish thinks you have compensation

it's already been determined that fishers defence is great but doesn't necessarily refute the gambit . same with faulkner counter gambit. but what about bishop to e7 after accepting ? this simple move seems to create a huge threat to white that spoils all attacking potential
Bc4 and if he checks then Kf1. Black has no threats and his bishop is misplaced

I’m sure Marc would beat me 10-0 with any opening he played against me, but I’d still take the black side of the king’s gambit any day!
