I’m not a fan of Zakir Naik, but I want to share both sides of his statements for clarity.
Bazaru aurat - Women’s Longevity: Zakir Naik stated that women generally live longer than men and are more numerous in older age groups. Factors like higher estrogen levels, lower-risk behaviors, and men’s involvement in dangerous jobs and wars contribute to this. He suggested that simplifying marriage could help reduce the growing number of single women, if she find responsible man and she agree to be second wife then its ok as seen in Western societies due to this issue single mom cultureare growing where woman cannot find responsible man and those who approach single mom woman just want to play with them and leave them. If you want to have family life and you have two choice only married man responsible and playboy then among them its better to go to first choice if both mutual partner agree
2. Orphanage Issue: It was falsely claimed that he didn’t give prizes to orphan girls. Zakir Naik explained that countries set legal maturity ages, and Islam teaches men to lower their gaze and avoid unnecessary interaction with women. Although I agree he should have given the prize, the reason was not related to the students being orphans.
3. Paedophilia: A girl claimed her society, which practices Islam, allows paedophilia. Zakir Naik responded that paedophilia is forbidden in Islam, and true Islamic societies would never allow such acts. He explained that claiming to be religious and actually following Islam are two different things.
