I would not eat half of what Brenda cooks, I'm a picky eater. Ms Brenda THANK YOU so much for sharing your recipes with us. I am from Indiana & I'm 57. I remember my Aunt T fixing this just like you did. We had from the garden fresh sliced tomatoes & cucumbers. With quartered hunk of onion on the side. Always white cornbread.. GOD'S BLESSINGS
The white cornbread is so light. It is wonderful. This same meal we used to have all the time to. But my mom would take and boil vinegar and water and sugar. And poor it over fresh lettuce and fresh onion and fresh cucumbers. She called it killing it. its real good in the summer

Thank you from the bottom of my heart! My Mama's been gone 23 years. You're a special lady! OH...and we always had it with butter on the potatoes and apple cider vinegar on the cabbage!

Mmmmm! Corned beef and cabbage was one of my favorite dinners growing up. When I make it now as an adult with my own child, that first bite always takes me back to my childhood.
That cornbread looks amazing. Wish I had some. I cook from scratch and don't have recipes to follow. Just know your ingredients and go for it! Good old home cooking. Nothing better. Such good memories of my mother's and my grandmother's kitchen aromas and warmth. Your channel is so real!!

Hey Sweet Brenda! I enjoyed the video, thank you and David for taking the time to make it for us :) I make Cornbeef and Cabbage and potatoes but I do mine differently. I might try yours one day soon. I put peeled and cut up potatoes and one onion cut up in a skillet with just a little bit of oil, salt, and pepper it and stir I while it browns a little then I put a lid on it and reduce heat to low and let them smother fry until tender, then I add in my corned beef and heat it and then serve. For my Cabbage, I cut it up and brown a few pieces of bacon in a skillet with just about a tsp. of oil then add my cabbage, brown it a little on med/high then reduce heat to low and cover and let it steam cook until tender about 20 minutes. I like to allow it to sit for a while before eating because it tastes better. I hope you are doing well, I like your flip flops I have some like that, take care and again thank you for the video, I can't wait to see the next one!

Hey Ms. Brenda I'm so glad I found your channel. I grew up in the country here in Ga. on my grandparents farm.........Lawd I miss those days. You and your wonderful cooking takes me back! I miss my grandparents soooooo much, oh and all the fresh food they grew and raised...those were the days! My grandmother was the best cook ever! When we got grown we never left her house without some of her canning and freezer foods and at the right time of year fresh fruit. My goodness how times have changed since those days, but I get those feelings with you cooking and talking. Wishing you and yours all the best always. Take care and I'm waiting on the next video.

If my green beans had produced I was going to show how I can that. It didn't rain at all here during the growing season of the beans and tomatoes. I wanted to show some of this. We have some tomato trees that was planted a little late, and they are just now producing. I hope that it doesn't freeze before some of them is ready.

we are 2 nuts. and Guess what David use to be so shy, he was so afraid to even talk to me. I was skinny then, and he liked me inmy white shorts, because of my olive skin, I tan real easy, and pastels and whites look good. he put me so high on a pedistal that even he couldn't reach me, and now he nows what a nut that I am, and look what I done to him.I have always been a nut. but I was so afraid to talk to fancy people in in front of the class, n ot anymore. now David is almost as bad as me. and he tells my mom on me. lol and she gets on me.

I love all your recipes. I am so glad I found your you tube channel 😊 you cook a lot like my momma and I cook. Momma never measured she just eye balled it. It was difficult for her to tell us a recipe over the phone she just had to show us.....because it was always a dash of this a pinch of that a smidge of that a hand full of this....lol now I cook the same way, it always turns out good. Your awesome thanks again for all of the great recipes.
I was so upset because the right knee did not do as good at the left knee in healing. I don't go to physical thepory, I do it at home for 3 weeks. 3 times a week. after that they want you to go, but I never did. I kept on exercising it. it too the right one a litle over a year to heal and not be real sore. I didn't thik that I would ever be able to flatfoot again, but I have been working it and practiceing. yesterday I tried it again, and I can do it. I was so happy. when David came home from work I told him to set down because I want to show him something. he was so stressed from his job. I had my blue tooth hooked to my tablet so he would not know what I was doing,and I told him to wait for it I will tell him when it was ready. and at the right time in the song Istarted flat footing, and it picked up his spirits a lot, he felt better then. the first time that I do it was at my nephews wedding. David did not know that I could do it. he was surprised and happy. he said mom is going to be so happy when she sees you do this. so I was glad to make heim and me happy. he thought that I had not been working my knees at all. I walk my cats whe the weather permits. we have a huge back yard and part of it is on an incline, I walk my cats like people walk their dogs. they ar not on a leash and they are looking for anything that they think might hurt their mommy.
This looks great. I make my corn beef and cabbage by frying it. I add onions with my cabbage when it's frying. I add the corn beef last, and I break it up with my fingers over the cabbage. Much easier and faster..I make my cornbread just like yours! Great to see you again. God Bless you! 🌺❤🌺

That cornbread is so good and it is very easy to make. It will be good if you don't have a cast iron skillet. It is better in cast iron tho.

you are welcome. it is one of the one pot meals. its easy and a pan of cornbread, dinner is served. give it a try and see what you think. you can leave out the sugar or replace it.

I love all your recipes. I am so glad I found your you tube channel 😊 you cook a lot like my momma and I cook. Momma never measured she just eye balled it. It was difficult for her to tell us a recipe over the phone she just had to show us.....because it was always a dash of this a pinch of that a smidge of that a hand full of this....lol now I cook the same way, it always turns out good.

I was so upset because the right knee did not do as good at the left knee in healing. I don't go to physical thepory, I do it at home for 3 weeks. 3 times a week. after that they want you to go, but I never did. I kept on exercising it. it too the right one a litle over a year to heal and not be real sore. I didn't thik that I would ever be able to flatfoot again, but I have been working it and practiceing. yesterday I tried it again, and I can do it. I was so happy. when David came home from work I told him to set down because I want to show him something. he was so stressed from his job. I had my blue tooth hooked to my tablet so he would not know what I was doing,and I told him to wait for it I will tell him when it was ready. and at the right time in the song Istarted flat footing, and it picked up his spirits a lot, he felt better then. the first time that I do it was at my nephews wedding. David did not know that I could do it. he was surprised and happy. he said mom is going to be so happy when she sees you do this. so I was glad to make heim and me happy. he thought that I had not been working my knees at all. I walk my cats whe the weather permits. we have a huge back yard and part of it is on an incline, I walk my cats like people walk their dogs. they ar not on a leash and they are looking for anything that they think might hurt their mommy.

This looks great. I make my corn beef and cabbage by frying it. I add onions with my cabbage when it's frying. I add the corn beef last, and I break it up with my fingers over the cabbage. Much easier and faster..I make my cornbread just like yours! Great to see you again. God Bless you! 🌺❤🌺
