The era when melody was queen and class on top roof. It was not technology then but talent was there.
I definitely loved the movie as i am a big fan of madhubala and dilip kumar.Their chemistry was magical and cannot be compared with any other couple. I think Amar lost his senses when he cheated on Anju. If you watch that scene then sonia didn't refuse to be with him.she was already in love with him.Maybe she was not prepared and was totally confused and shocked. So the main victim is Anju as well as Hero of the story. Being cheated by your fiance and without making him feel guilty just encourage him to do the right thing. I loved the movie but the character played by Madhubala with such an innocence and elegance she deserved an award. The most underrated performance of her.

I take this song a bit differently; as if Madhubala is the Mother Earth or प्रकृती and that Dilip Kumar is The Life or पुरुष here. By virtue, life is always gloomy, struggling and looking for happiness. When the Mother Earth finds her son, the Life, in the state of confusion and misery, she sings this song, inspiring him to live on with whatever comes accross.
