Nice problem. I was able to eliminate 9, 27, and 81 as solutions quickly. In my head I was able to factor the 2 from the numerator. I could see that the rest was a difference of cubes and without factoring it completely I could see it would cancel with the factor in the denominator. The expression would be 2 times a polynomial expression and evaluated at 3 must be an even number. Thanks again!
nossa deveria fazer uma aula de 1 hora resolvendo exercicios , fatorando , simplificando, ia ser otimo. É so com a pratica que o cara pega essa manhâs de fazer essas simplificações
There is an indeterminate form 0/0. We have two ways to solve this : The first way : 2x^3-54=2(x-3)(x^2+3x+9) The fraction becomes 2(x^2+3x+9) whose limit when x goes to 3 is 54. The second way is to use the Hospital's rule : The derivative of 2x^3-54 is 6x^2 The derivative of x-3 is 1 So, it is the limit when x goes to 3 for 6x^2 which is 54 as well.
You can resolve this equation for five seconds by looking on answers. In numerator you move out 2. All other number are naturally. Thats means that result you can devide for 2. In test only one number 54
В общем сразу бросается в глаза что 2 выноситься за скобки а знаменатель сократится. Все дальнейшие числа будут целые, а ответ четный. Следовательно под ответ подходит только 54

The difference of cubes factorization unnecessary. It is in 0/0 form, so one application of lhospitals rule gives lim x approaches 3, 6x^2/1 = 54. Presented way got job done purely algebraically not having to appeal to Calculus.
Have you turned on English subtitles? Why it was activated you must have understood the reason why I didn't apply L'Hospital! But I'll explain to you, to use L"Hospital the student needs to know derivative, but if the student learns a limit first and then learns derivative, how is he going to apply L'Hospital? It doesn't make sense!

Muito bom o exercício limites, a " pprta de entrada" para o estudo do "cälculo". Como fica bem o sinal de igual escrito na altura correta!

Absolutely easy. By using L. Hospita's rule, it takes a minute to solve.
That's what I said in the video, it doesn't make sense to use L'Hospital, because the student who is studying limits doesn't know derivatives yet!
There is an indeterminate form 0/0.
We have two ways to solve this :
The first way : 2x^3-54=2(x-3)(x^2+3x+9)
The fraction becomes 2(x^2+3x+9) whose limit when x goes to 3 is 54.
The second way is to use the Hospital's rule :
The derivative of 2x^3-54 is 6x^2
The derivative of x-3 is 1
So, it is the limit when x goes to 3 for 6x^2 which is 54 as well.
👍
54 é 2×3³
1.01.22.
Por simple inspección es 54, el único número par. Dos es factor común y no se puede simplificar.

Professor, poderia fazer uma questão de limite envolvendo seno? Tipo: lim x->0 (sin2x) / x
Limite fundamental trigonométrico? Posso sim!
lim(x->3) (2х^3 - 54)/(х-3)
0/0?
2x^3-54 = f(x)
x-3 = g(x)
lim(x->3) f(x)/g(x) = lim(x->3) f'(x)/g'(x) = lim(x->3) 6x^2 = 6*(3)^2 = 54
