Our language and culture are beautiful for anyone to see. This music is as much a part of south Texas's fabric and substance as the cactus and chaparral.
The first son reminds me when I was little and watching my grandparents dancing a dance called el shotize (not sure of spelling) but it was to this type of music and they danced with a slow skip in the steps of the dance…..miss and loved my Nana and Tata gone but not forgotten. Thank you Los Fresno Elementary for bringing back an old but happy memory with your song 👍🏻👍🏻
