@@temporarilyoffline that’s my favorite part of this channel, the great sense of humor. But you still owe me a partial refund for my time watching a chair assembly 😂
First thing to do to a chair when you get it is throw out the plastic casters and replace them with the rubber roller blade wheel type castors, Amazon BF Brightfield. They are cheap and add 25dB. Seriously they are such a good upgrade. You just glide around instead of schooching to get the chair into the right position.
The review makes sense to me a chair is an integral part of a ham shack. After several expensive office chairs wearing out way to prematurely. I finally got an ANDAS SEAT gaming chair, IT IS FANTASTIC!!!!Based on what I can see from the video of this chair the parts/ manufacturing quality I do not have much faith in the longevity of this chair. We will see how you long term review goes. Jim KI7SSO
It seems OK so far, but you're right, Time will tell. I've been let down before and I'm a little cynical. I think its the nature of a ham at this point.
I have a very similar (but not same brand chair). Love the mesh back as I'm a sweaty person when it is warm. The lumbar support really helps. After several years of use, the lock lever doesn't want to stay in the locked position, and the plastic is splitting on the left arm rest. Other than those complaints, one of the better (less expensive) office chairs I have owned.
not sure what I really learned but it was like I couldn't stop watching, like an auto accident happening in slow motion. Thanks for keeping us on our toes TO. Its the new ASMR of modular furniture builds..
such a nice view in the background!.. I wish I were there,..and would leave behind and forget any thing!.. ,(almost).. any worries , "pressure", and my silly way of life here
I don't know if you can pin that down ;-) That word changes meaning depending on the operator :-D Is it the QMX? Is it the FT-891 with its good speaker and DSP (and horrible standby power consumption?) A debate as old as time itself!
That's the nicest office I've ever seen kinda outdoorsy looking, those extra screws are in case the guy puting the chair together might be missing a few, tnx Man!
The chair is a very important part of any hamshack, you should next start reviewing outdoor camping chairs for POTA.. (picnic benches are hard…) BTW, what is this camera?
This chair here, they sell it as "Paros"...:), I had one.. but others..,. they treat it so badly and it ends up to be with one rest arm... but I will fix it (her) ..one day . ..soon!!..
Man I need a new chair, lol.. They are just so dam expensive... Epically for something that your not sure if it will be comfortable or suit your needs..
I got to love your channel a lot my friend because I can’t believe I wasted all of this time watching how to build a chair which I have done tons in my life lol. Can you give me a partial refund of my time? 😂
Just curious -- did the lady with the dogs do this to you: slowly walk slightly past you -- then stop for a moment and just watch you or do something to get your attention? I did notice that as soon as she spotted you she started angling towards you. Now granted -- if I saw a dude in a park with a office chair I'd probably take a glance -- but I would just keep on stepping by doing a MYOB. But the thing is -- it should have been obvious that you were not some strange dude with a office chair in a park -- you were doing content because of the presence of a camera/smartphone. As well, I've noticed this type of phenomena with myself whenever I attempt to do content creation out in the wild -- and I thought I was the only one who had this type of thing happen. Anyway, I have been considering that same chair for future needs both HAM and content wise. I look forward to your long term review.
I had my back turned to her, so I'm not 100% sure what she did until I turned around and said hi. I have seen people walk past my antenna to where I had my dog leashed up to mess with my dog until they saw me at the picnic table. Humans are the worst man ;-)
This is the best chair assembly in a park in Wisconsin that I have seen today
Man, I was worried about the competition, glad I was successful. I'd like to thank my mom for her support, esp with mothers day looming.
@@temporarilyoffline bro, you outclass the competition at every step!
@@temporarilyoffline that’s my favorite part of this channel, the great sense of humor. But you still owe me a partial refund for my time watching a chair assembly 😂
The designation of n + 1 is to indicate you will use n amount during assembly and they have given you 1 extra in case you mess one up.
Thanks Bryant!

I asked the same question on a ham page on Facebook and got several hundred answers so chairs is an important part of being a ham.
We'll find out! Thanks for watching.

Sometimes, even I, accidentally do something right!
The entire time you was putting that thing together I was thinking you could have been fishing.
Right? May as well soak a worm while you twist the allen wrench. I keep a telescoping rod & reel in the car just for such moments.
@@socallars3748 yes indeed brother.
Fishing? Ham Radio is Serious Business!!!
At least its not an underwear sponsorship.
Or hemorrhoid ointment... 🔥😢
Hey, hams spend a lot of time sitting, same reason they need a good chair!
Stay Tuned!
I found it a little humorous when you had to get the instructions back out. I like humor and enjoy your videos very much
Glad you enjoyed it. If I tried to be perfect, I'd probably fail and nobody would watch.
The only thing I could think of is how sorry I feel for an area almost halfway into May and they still have bare trees!!!!
Just starting to bloom today. Very short growing season here.
The guy walking the dogs was thinking, "If that weirdo is there when I come back, I'm calling the cops!"
I made a wrong turn twice on the way out and passed him a few times too. Upping the crazy factor.
1:50 I feel the same way about my 250 always when I need to open the tail gate
If only these people used their own products...
The battle-ready position will come in handy for an FT8 version of Battleship someday, LOL
Ooh, FT8 Battleship!
now you can be" the chair" on all the nets😂
I humbly accept this new responsibility

John has a long mustache, John has a long mustache.
So we are going to see the chair in all your POTA and SOTA activations?
Definitely.
When you connect that chair to your 705, what kind of SWR are you getting?
Not good. Needs a tuner.
@@temporarilyoffline I bet it does, lol
@@temporarilyoffline It's not really a chair tuner, it's a chair matching device. It makes your posterior seem like an appropriate load.
Use the screws for a grond for homebrew antennas 🤣 🤣
Shhh, you'll give away my next video!
Hey TO, can you do a video on "What is the most power efficient, portable, all mode, at least 80-10 M bands HF radio?"

That's what they said about the screws when I sent them feedback
I'm a HUGE fan of *Herman Miller* chairs. Never heard of Urboro & Domo. Next time I'm in the chair market, I'll have to give them a look.
I had a Herman Miller chair. It kept wearing a hole in my pants. Other than that it was OK.
Nice chair TO.
Thanks Steve!
The chair is a very important part of any hamshack, you should next start reviewing outdoor camping chairs for POTA.. (picnic benches are hard…) BTW, what is this camera?
Great idea! Buc-ees has a great camp chair! The camera is the DJI Osmo Pocket 3. Thanks for watching!
What's next? A shoe polish review? Electric can openers? Why am I still subscribed to your channel?
Whatever a ham shack needs.
"Favor fortunes the bold" is what you were searching for...or in Latin...Audentes Fortuna Iuvat

Great chair, but also...which park? 😀

The camera tracks your face. Impressive!
I've been exploiting it, thought I'd do something fun with building a chair...in a park...
...and now for something completely different.
Exactly!
So are chair races in the future. I all most got bared out of a hotel for racing
I'm not allowed to talk about that subject anymore.
As a person of girth, I hereby give you permission to say wide person.
Appreciate that!
Are QSO's received in that chair 6db higher? Inquiring QRP minds want to know! 73
I didn't comment, it's only 5.5db gain. Didn't feel it was worth mentioning.
Chairs are killing ham radio
You got that right.
Man I need a new chair, lol.. They are just so dam expensive... Epically for something that your not sure if it will be comfortable or suit your needs..
I'm too tall for most furniture/things... so I usually just go cheap and replace often so I can change which part of my back hurst :-D
LOL.. not a bad way to do it, hahaha
I’ll buy the chair ONLY if it comes with APRS.
It has dual channel APRS.
