    Love the template. I think I had one a few years ago when my friend and I made 80 pinwheel Christmas cards. Cards are great! Guess I'll head to the craftroom! You have inspired me!

      WOW I am impressed - 80 pinwheel cards took a lot of time to cut and put together!! I am sure they were just beautiful. It's a great technique to pull out every few years and renew a little differently!

    Hi Julia,
    The cards you made today are beautiful, and your papers matched perfectly. Yes, it is a good way to use the smaller scrap pieces in your stash. I have always wondered how these cards were made. Firstly I didn't know they were called pinwheel cards, but thanks to you now I know. It was helpful seeing you placing the small squares to complete the pinwheel. If you gave me all the pieces to make this card I probably wouldn't know where to put them... LOL!
    I love finding your latest tutorials in my notifications... thanks , and happy crafting Julia.

      Hi Gloria - I remember the real pinwheels on sticks that you would blow on and then they would spin. As a child they were great fun! And there are several other little pinwheel things I have made over the years that are much more complicated, with turning and pinning the centers in. These are easy, especially with that template. Try some!! Have a Blessed week and as always come back soon!!

      @@SeniorSusieStamps Oh yes that is right... I had forgotten about that! When we went to the town show in the 1970's you could get pinwheels on a stick or cupie (I think that is how you spelt it) dolls on canes. We loved them as children, and a thing of the past...!

      @@SeniorSusieStamps That was certainly taking a walk down memory lane as I hadn't even given them a thought until you mentioned the pinwheels on sticks... Thank you Julia. : )
      I must say that I got the spelling wrong didn't I? In fact I was going to spell it 'Qupie', but I thought that looked wrong... so does Cupie!!! Honestly I don't think I have ever seen Kewpie spelt before, however I am relieved that you knew what I meant. Thank you for the wikipedia link it was interesting reading.

      Glad it was helpful Shawn! Pinwheels are great for using up a few pesky scraps. And if you have a little center focal, it covers up those little mismatches nicely. The pinwheel card can be a real showstopper too, using the right papers!!

    I like the slimline cards they are adorable. I never seen them that size for the pinwheel.
    The pinwheel for the slimline I got the measurement of 2 1/8 by 2 1/8 then 2x2 what was the size for the top of the pinwheel?
    Thanks Julia.

    • @SeniorSusieStamps
      @SeniorSusieStamps  ปีที่แล้ว

      Terrie I used a 1 inch square punch, or 3/4 square punch for those. Depending on which one I was using at the moment. You can do either.

    Just a few questions. On first pinwheel is the base 2 3/8 or 2 5/8? The mini pinwheel what are square sizes? The sample card of slim line card, you put a pinwheel in the center, what is the size of that center pinwheel?

    • @SeniorSusieStamps
      @SeniorSusieStamps  4 หลายเดือนก่อน

      LOL I had to go watch this video again to see it I could remember. The pinwheel center on the minislimline is a 1 inch square punch. The squares on the first pinwheel are 2 3/8 (black layer) and 2 1/4 (designer paper).

      @sherrytruitt1028 4 หลายเดือนก่อน

      @@SeniorSusieStamps thanks, I was just making sure I heard the measurements correctly. Because other videos say 2 5/8 and I love the idea of the two different bases. ( the black and the other color. Thanks for information.😊💜

      Of course you can make it bigger, depending on how large your card fron is. Experiment and see what you like best!
