wow! very cool diy. thumbs and a new sub for you 4sure!.even could take it one step farther and use a glass plate as a 2nd platen to get it even more flat of a sanding surface
Great DIY , Placing a wooden block between belt will hold the object against sand paper, it'll be easy to sand. Attaching another wooden block to the upper wheel will stable the belt.
Just one ttp to add: @ 5:25 When striking threaded bolts or rod with a hammer, first put the nut on so that the nut is proud of the end of the thread, and the starter threads are never taking a strike from the steel hammer. That preserves the starting end.
nice build, however seems to me is really hard to change the belt , because you put to many obstacles in the way of that belt . In any case , good ideea , thank you for sharing !!!
This is excellent; good design, really like it.The only thing that's a limitation is that you have to have a drill that's got the cylindrical shaped portion of the body just behind the chuck to clamp it in place. Maybe the overall design, as good as it is, could be altered to accommodate a regular electric motor( I have one that I'd love to put to use!!) Is there any way to get a list of the hardware needed(eg. bearings, shafts, etc.)?
Good concept and work. I need this for my work and would like to make one with the sander disk just below the work surface of the belt sander to avoid finger injury..
Very good ........ But I think you'll have to put something to avoid the tape getting out ..... Notice that from 17:30 on the top of her docking it gets very variable and I think That she can leave causing in an accident .... a little modification in that part ..... and it will be 100% ..... !!!
The problem is the aligment of the wheels and the tighten of the sand paper, You can`t use spring to tighten this, it has to be a solid state with option to adjust. The sand paper also need to slide to center of the rollers, this is achieved by making the rollers not flat all the way, the rollers need to have a higher point in the middle. You can also fit rubber on the rollers for better grip. The sand paper is glued together, you can also use strong thin tape on the backside of the sand paper. No problem to make a little safe guard for the upper roller. Another thing, what is the point of having two of the same thing, I just don`t see the point. The common thing to make here is one table flat or horizontal and one disk grinder. in this option there is the disk and the vertical sander, both the same. Lay down the vertical sander (with modification) and you have a great sander for all things, even long materials. Take or make a box with a lid make options for adjusting the high for the sandpaper, the paper laying flat to the surface inside box, adjust paper high as you go. lead the materials over the table, just like that :)
There are a no. of solutions, remove/ strengthen (stronger spring???) Rigid etc. To prevent the belt slippage, he could use a bicycle inner tube and cut into 1-1.5" bands and he could slip them over his drums. Whilst he's at that, he could maybe increase the centre line of the drum by adding an inner band e.g 5mm to sort of give it a ridge. than add he outer sleeve mentioned above..... well it worked for me on a similar problem. Misty you could also make yourself a guard to prevent the belt slipping off the upper drum and he could add an outer piece of wood to attach to the nut for the drum and add an arch for the nut to travel when it tensions. BOTTOM LINE, MISTY'S TO SOLVE :) Many here are armchair critics who've never built anything in their lives but presume to know it allllllll !!!!! hahahaha..... now we wait, who shall bite...... :)
I love your work and design, I used to draw the design but never make it real. So simple and easy to install. Please let me copy your design okay and put a little modification.
Brilliant, thank you! Wondering if there is a way to make the platform adjustable so you could sand at angles (e.g. 45, or 30 degrees). Also, what is the link to build the drill press :-)? Thanks again for a great video.
Done well with the resources you have, you should have also considered track adjustment, little modification to upper roller and swing arm is all that needed. Appriciate your work, just keep your mind sharp and let imaginations flow in. In no time you will be the best!
Pretty good...but high rotation seems to be required for this drilling mache. In addition, I think you should add a dust protection considering that your drilling vent is placed in horozontal position; consequently while sanding, all dust will lay on its vent opening easily. That's what I think.A small shelter certainly will solve that problem! Good job anyway !!!

Гриндер из дроооов!!! Универсальный. Молодец.
It's pretty amazing what you can accomplish with nothing more than a handful of parts, and some scrap wood. Fantastic job!
Great job and use of resources. I grew up with my Dad building tools and farm implements when needed. Thank you for the video and inspiration.
wow! very cool diy. thumbs and a new sub for you 4sure!.even could take it one step farther and use a glass plate as a 2nd platen to get it even more flat of a sanding surface
Agree- needs more belt support
Ich find es so GEIL, einfach, nur Abschnitte genützt, keine Farbe nötig, was will Mann mehr???
Einfach Top Top Top 👍👍👍👍👌👌👌👌

You very smart..👍👍 i like it..
I really like your videos. You give people ideas on how to make tools using basic things. Well done. Keep it up
Nicely done..very creative..
с права можно добавить стенку с подшипником, чтобы уменьшить давление на вал дрели и уменьшить биение
Ничего лишнего и не заморочено. Так держать.
Great build
i feel your idea is simple and very useful.i want a edge sander . make a edge sander
Great video
Super, simple à faire et complète : Merci beaucoup
Very good and easy i will make one ..its two in one..
Just one ttp to add: @ 5:25

I think thats no problem. Thats why he used a hinge in front of the discsander.
That is one inspiring video. Definitely gonna try and make my own now.
Great easy build. Good job I like it. Way to go brother
I'm brand new to your channel and I couldn't be happier, you explain everything very clear and concise thank you so much

Es la mejor idea que visto voy a tratar de hacerlo
Молодец,Красота.
so nice idea,..you're so creative.....gimme five
mantap 👍👍
If you make the support tables as closed boxes you can drill a hole to fit the hose of your vacuum cleaner to suck up all the dust when sanding stuff.
good job👍👍👍

I also noticed that. But how would you do it? I would also like to know how to stick the sandpaper. Do you know? Hugs

Wheels should have been made by wood lathe with ledges on both sides.
