I wish you the utmost happiness, you are really one of the most authentic and pure people on this platform and you bring an already wonderful game to life even more. Thank you so much for your passion and consistency, it means so much more to me than you could ever know :)
Hi Agadmator, I dont know where to reach you so I type here: Can you please do a video on the game between Korchnoi and Maroczy (supposedly through a medium who spoke with Maroczy's soul or w/e). I want to see an analysis on it, because I am intrigued and there are no videos about it from chess perspective! Thank you.
I just googled it because the story sounded interesting, and now I would like to see an agadmator video on it as well! Also, you can use #suggestion to suggest a game, or you could try messaging him on Twitter. His handle is in the bottom right corner of the video and probably in the video description as well.
Hi. You may have answered this question before and I missed it. When you say ‘ as of move x we have a completely new game’ does that mean those exact moves up to that point never been played in any major games since a database was created. How far does the database go back. Eg die contain games from say soviet championship early last century. Thanks.
I figured it out. I think more pawns; Knights and Queen more terrifying. (Bishops get blocked and more opportunities for “monster knight posts”) Less pawns; Rooks and Bishops.
I thought after the rook Pins the queen to the King the move would be Bishop to e5. It would prevent the rook from capturing because of rook f1#. And if you don't take the Queen it'll escape a move later.
That's a good idea. What happens after White responds with h3? The king has room and the bishop is attacked. The Queen is unpinned but I've been looking at all the squares it could go and none of them look good. If you try to hold onto the dark square bishop by guarding it with something like Qd4 then White can pile up on the newly pinned bishop with Qe3. You also still have to deal with the light square bishop being under attack by h3 so it's not so clear what Black can do. Of course, I'm no pro so if someone has a good line to share please do.
@@peterdevlin3295 h3 can be captured by the Bishop because the Queen pins the g pawn and if the Queen is captured after the Bishop takes h3 ,rook f1 is still checkmate because the darksquare Bishop watches over h2
Sometimes I'm concerned about your chess understanding.Rapport would capture with the pawn on f6 whether the knight moved or not. You simply cannot allow Ne5 and also stay with a backwards e6 pawn.
Oh man!! That was super exciting asymmetrical set of pieces at the end. BUT I don’t like the draw. King Richard should have brought his king out and tried to win!!!!! Ug. But still I love asymmetrical matches
#suggestion hi agad, from news on chess24, Yuri Averbakh has just passed away, not long after he celebrated 100th birthday. It would be great to show some honor to a legend by showing a game by him. May he rest in peace..
After queen captures rook and white rook pinning the queen there was black bishop capturing white knight move possible, the white rook can't move bcoz of checkmate threat and once white does something about that, the bishop can capture the rook
@@anilbista7445 That is not a very in-depth answer. I asked, "How is it that the king and rook and pawns can't beat these two knights?" And you said, "Because they can't."

Another great quote above the board. Agadmator always has our back.
Richard Rapport one of my favourite players. Very original ideas.

spectacular game - love the material imbalances and unusual positions here!
Woah. What’s the “points tally” for Queen and two knights versus Rooks and Bishops pair?
14 points of material for the queen and 2 knights
16 points of material for the rook pair and bishop pair
@@Isthatthegrimreaper170 that’s interesting. But for the knights poor positioning on the board, I would be far more fearful of the Knights and Queen

ive watched this game several times. why @9:21 didnt the black rook take the knight after the fork?
Because the a4 knight is defended by the b3 pawn.

Not intuitive to me why black offered to draw. Is the knight combo preventing the black king from infiltrating that pawn base?
Once the knight starts to mobilise its black who will loose that's why to prevent them from moving forward it was almost forced to get 3 fold reps
