I think my main issue with fog is that its influence often shuts down team synergy to an extent as you’re more limited to loomians that aren’t overreliant on their abilities unless you run a mono-spirit type team. Similar to how sandstorm in Pokémon doesn’t damage steel or ground types in addition to rock, I feel as though fog shouldn’t affect one or two other types so there’s a bit more room to build around it. Thematically, dark and light would make the most sense in my opinion. However, I still think fog should be primarily the “spirit” type weather, so its other effect should be a more direct benefit to spirit types. Rather than the 2-turn move thing, I think that effect should just be tied to the move apparition itself rather than the weather as a whole, in place of some other buff for spirit types. This could be a reduced cost in energy, increased crit chance, inability to be provoked, etc. But as it currently stands shutting down ALL other types is wildly imbalanced.
The reason it’s so hard to deal with may also just be because there’s a lack of options for counterplay right now. When weather-setting items, moves, and the umbrella hat item are distributed maybe the influence of fog won’t feel so prominent, but right now it’s just very difficult to work around when it’s particularly hindering. In addition to the above, I think it also would be cool to see a move that inverts the effects of weather, so I’m looking forward to seeing what happens
you right, id say light type would make the most sense to be immune to it because a light source makes it easier to see in fog, it would also be the counter to fog cause light type already walls most spirits, also the two turn thing is true, that should be tied to the move, not the weather, what if the buff is non spirit/light types use 10% more energy, making energy optimized sets lose out on a move
Doubles is an interesting concept for me, but I won’t even consider getting into it until Lampurge is nerfed and some of the loomians with Bait lose it, because there are way too many.
Lampurge is indeed broken. However the bait removal is just plain stupid. Some needed to lose yes but he removed it from to much stuff now basically nothing good has it. Also that + he’s buffing spread moves which are already meta means that doubles will be UNPLAYABLE and that’s not a exaggeration (mainly the spread move buff)
@@raptormaster1298Thank u for making my argument on why wide guard being added to the game 😊 My Thunder team would become brutally op if Wide Guard was in the game tho
@@TheRealTeddyGaming I was just talking about that to some friends lol. Wide guard should be a thing and they should add it to loomians that barely get used to give them some useage (we where saying ventacean)
I think a good way of nerfing Captivating while still making it usable is to have it only activate when Lampurge is attacking. That way you can still do something while also covering for your teammate (which is more than other loomians just using Bait can do), but without just getting a free turn without taking damage. Still good, but not completely braindead and broken. Also slapping SB Icigool on this team is pure evil fun.
I think that the ability should only work on the first turn every time it switches in. It's good since free turns of set up are still broken but you're not jail locked into hitting it every time
i think fog is fine because of how limiting it makes your team building options cause fog screws over your own team too. you just need to fix lampurge already in my experience my fog team has a lot of weaknesses due to how the team comp looks
My fog team is undefeated and no one has come close to beating me yet and seriously, it’s not even close. I run Lampurge, cosmeleon, lantorch, sb metronette, nevermare, sedimars , and imperior, the idea is to use things that don’t desperately need their abilities and just abuse the fog the best I can against (in most cases 90% of the time) a team with loomian a that NEED their abilities, and when the fog goes away for example my sedimars uses talent trade during fog, now once fog is over that loomian is at a crutch, also for metronette I just set up in fog, once fog ends I sb and am just unstoppable unless it’s some specific type of loomian, and imperior just for sticky situations. I know I did a horrid job at explaining why this team is so good but regardless It’s an amazing team you guys should try it.
Give krakaloa baffle or fade away please since you said its not getting a range boiling press in your steam so im requesting for pivot which is the next best thing
@@Kavrina-h5fIdk how that would make sense though. For Chartiki we can make a guess that the heat is too much for it to handle and it takes damage. How would dense fog make a loomian take damage?

lol the colosso's vigorous being turned off so it just has the 0.5 atk from the burn mustve sucked for that guy...
Jamie instead of nerfing Captivating can you instead make Dodge not work on it?

yes
inferno makes you lose health at the end of the turn whereas gloomy is just a straight buff with no downside

What does fog do again?
Removes abilities of all loomians that arent spirit type, so sa tiklipse isnt immune to dark or light with total eclipse etc
Wait why does hollibunch not lose its ability in fog?
What's the set details for charonyx?
Jamiy doesnt apparition have an inveruable state like phantom force from pokemon? So im the final game u had 100% win
secondary effect of dense fog makes two turn moves (that are spirit type) go in one move.
So my hunder can’t counter charonyx anymore :\
It's a chameleon, I think.
Fog has the best music
The fog is here
looks like fog is getting nerfed
this was pretty much a lampurge showcase
Give lampurge wonder guard
Fog is fog (this is true is true right?)
so if you have hollibunch in fog it literally cant do any dmg?
No, it doesn't work on gimmicky abilities. So hollibunch is still surprisingly viable in fog.
Ooh thats nice
Please do some singles weather videos
Jamiy mold breaker when
devious?
Nerf captivating to only work in weather lmao
How can lampurge learn dodge? Pls help
Wispur and Lampurge can’t learn Dodge anymore, so that they can’t abuse Captivating which was also nerfed.
doubles pog
