Yes! One thing I absolutely HATE about her content is in every video when she's applying something she cuts the damn video and comes back with the "finished product" and as always it looks perfect. So suspicious. She should really stop cutting her videos so we can see the entire application process.
for someone with naturally long lashes, i actually like the elf mascara better. it sits a lot more comfortably for me
Sometimes wet mascara is tricker to apply! it ends up going everywhere and not long after... you have raccoon eyes

Elf's lash and roll is a winner on mature eyelashes. It doesn't clump or smudge under my eyes.

So there was a cut in the middle of her applying the elf mascara, and for a HOT second it looked like there was a strip lash on 😂😂 I could immediately tell right after that it was her real lash but I got scared for her for a sec lol

E.l.f has always been my go too.. since before the internet was popular!
Also, you need to do makeup consultations! Teach people like muwahhhh how to do basic things for their specific skin tones. Honestly... you'd be the only person I'd fully trust 100% to tell me what shade I needed. ❤ you rock!

It’s probably old. I have the Benefit one and it doesn’t do any of what she is showing. I have been using mine and it doesn’t perform that way. I am definitely going to try the Elf one, but I have heard it gives you clumpy lashes because of the amount of product on the brush. It’s cheap so if I don’t like it, it’s not a total waste.
@@trishamarie True! The Benefit looks old, just by looking at the brush. She probably pulled it out of a drawer to do this comparison.

I oughtta try that Elf Lash & Roll, because it looks like it works better on the lashes that Benefits RollerLash.
Try it and see! Everything works differently for everyone, but e.l.f usually gets it right!

I really enjoy her vids. But those don't look like short, sparse lashes. Thanks for the comparison, my last purchase of the benefit have been disappointing. The mascara was stiff and clumpy. Will give the elf a try.

Yes! A little more fullness with the e.l.f because the formula is drier so I was able to stack it on a little more

The only thing that works is waterproof mascara. Dont reccommend a lash lift my lashes used to be so long and strong anf now they‘re soooo bad. Never again!
As someone who puts two coats on…. I would hope it would carry less mascara on the wand so my eyelashes don’t look stuck together!!! Too much product never looks good
It all depends on what you're looking for!! Some people just want a tint on the lashes, and some want to build it up to give more definition to their look

I'm as far away from Asian lashes as one can be. But, I have SHORT (except 1 insane long lash on each eye, just 1) S.T.R.A.I.T. SPARSE lashes too. And I'm older, so there is that,...they do weird shit now, the inner corner lashes go in 3 directions and bottom lashes seem to be missing on one eye at a scar sight from 50 yrs ago. So, imma trying this! I don't wear false...cuz, idk, but I don't. So going to get this!

@@Reenah79 Hi love, I've said this a few times but I don't use filters in any of my videos. I don't believe in filters- I think we need unfiltered content in beauty. None of my videos have a filter, I don't use after effects after recording. Just me and my iPhone 14 on a tripod Xx

It's okay. So far it hasn't smudged on my greasy-ass face. It's not heavy, but it still takes the curl right out of my lashes. Definitely not a curling mascara, but I've seen advertised as such in magazine articles.

I've always found benefit mascaras to be clumpy, I've not found one that i haven't had to go in and separate my lashes afterwards.

I like the Elf mascara, but I find it flakes a lot throughout the day.
This might be happening bc its a drier formula!
The only way I can get the benefit roller lash to work is to open it and close it, then leave it for 3-4 weeks until it dries out a bit. Then it’s perfection. I’d have to get a back up ready weeks before I run out. But thank goodness I found more affordable mascaras that I like just as much. I think I want to try this one out. Hopefully it’s waterproof bc that’s all that works well for my shiddy assss lashless. 😛
I think I’d like the roller lash because it’s not as viscous. I have 3 rows of lashes - it’s a genetic disorder…so I don’t need to thicken what I have- just like some extra length and would love the lift. Although the elf seems to lift more. This is why I don’t really wear it-can’t find any that really looks good. It’s all just a clumpy mess.

How did the elf mascara hold up the curl throughout the day and did it smudge? I love the roller lash but it doesn’t hold the curl, and doesn’t smudge like other non waterproof mascaras. I stopped buying it because I couldn’t justify spending that much on one mascara.

After 12 years in beauty, I feel like I must have but I can't remember! I use a Tweezerman lash curler when I do decide to curl my lashes, but for all mascara reviews I like to just use it on my natural lashes, no curler to see how the mascara performs!

i personally think elf’s mascara is very sticky
I get the appeal of affordable makeup, but folks need to know how unregulated makeup products made in China and sold to the US market are. There’s no quality or toxicity standard, so you’re just hoping it’s safe in the short and long term. Some things are cheap for a reason. I wouldn’t put that stuff anywhere near my eye.
