Staying 3 nights in Flamingo, Florida Everglades - Houseboat - Hells Bay - Crocodile Encounter!

This was our second time staying in a houseboat located in Flamingo, Florida Everglades. We stayed for 4 days and 3 nights. Unfortunately, it was a windy weekend but we made the best out of it. We went to Hells Bay for the first time, mostly to get out of the wind, and we were glad we did. It was a nice experience but let me just say, thank goodness for GPS, otherwise, I wouldn't feel comfortable going in there! What a maze! We also walked a short trail and stargazed every night! But the most memorable part of the trip was my close encounter with a resident crocodile! Joe was already making plans buying another boat with my potential life insurance!! Yes. We call it glamping cause you know, having A/C, a comfy bed, toilet and shower is nice to have while “camping”! 😂 The Houseboat can be taken out to go fishing but since we have our boat, no need for us to take the houseboat out.

Fyi, that croc probably wasn’t going to actually attack either of you. More likely he’s just been conditioned to expect people to toss him fish after they’re done being filleted. Unfortunately there are a lot of idiot tourists who think it’s a good idea to feed alligators and crocs but they don’t have any concern for the longterm consequences of doing so.
