Nice job - it’s the Concorde Room, no the Concorde Lounge, by the way. I’d recommend not focusing so much on the cost of things - it’s presumed that food and drink will be of high quality. The nicest way I’ve found to spend longish layovers in the Concorde Room is to book (through You First, an unknown service for BA F passengers) one of the cabanas, which are essentially private rooms with day beds, TVs, a toilet, and shower. A menu is in the room and you just call for room service. It’s a nice, private space for 6 hours (the maximum time) before going out on the terrace for a quick drink, pick up a few magazines, and head to the aircraft. My ritual!😉

Thank you for sharing the info about 'You First', I haven't heard of this.

@ I’ve found that’s the only real way to guarantee a cabana. If you wait until landing, they’re often taken as there only 3 or 4 of them.

Tea culture is different in the UK, so loose tea is not as much a thing here as bagged tea. Also, Avios points are really easy to collect in the UK and Amex points too, which can be converted 1:1 for Avios.

The surcharges are outrageous and the amount of avios paid is no little amount
