BASICALLY. Tribbie is more of a SUB-DPS that focuses on her own dmg over buffing her team. Robin is a true support that focuses on buffing her teams total dmg output and action advancing. ROBIN for main support. TRIBBIE for SUB DPS
No her damage isn’t even close to being good to be considered a sub dps in the current state. And she 100% buffs the team’s total damage by providing damage vulnerability and all type resistance penetration.
The problem with Robin in Therta team is that Therta lacks rare buff like penetration and DMG dealt increase (not DMG bonus), while she seems to have surplus ATK and DMG bonus, something Robin buffs. At the same time, enemies are spawned a lot, with the new two boss tailor this mechanic so Tribbie can deal higher damage and at the same time can regenerate more energy for Therta which can lead to more frequent ultimate use and higher DMG overall. I think with characters that favor ATK buff and DMG bonus like Seele or Feixiao, Tribbie will be worse
So Robin's lack of effective buffs and energy problems have finally caught up to her lol. Jokes aside, she's still gonna remain as the best support for optimized runs but Tribbie seems really good too.
Energy problems? Robin can get her energy back quite fine with QPQ supports. Effective buffs? Dude, Robin gives 50% dmg bonus, atleast 1k atk, teamwide 100% AA and additional ST damage.
@@totallyregulargiornowell, I think you already said it rather well, but on a different perspective it also means that Robin needs qpq to work well hence energy is still a problem that still needs to be addressed when using her. Robin buff is massive, but it also means unit with a built in attack, damage, and crit damage buff (like The Herta) won't get as much effective buff either since it'll reach a diminishing return compared to a support that bring entirely new way to damage boost (resist pen, vulnerability). I do love Robin gameplay, but her energy problem is already plaguing her since day 1 of her release. It's just that people either treat it like the end of the world (at her early release) or treat it as something totally inexistent by saying whoever has energy problems are having skill issues (at later days at her release)

Can someone please explain which buffs are the most powerful in HSR and how they work? For example I’d assume a 30% dmg increase would be 1.3x damage but the output is sometimes different. Also people seem to value a 30% res pen over damage why is that? If anyone could help me understand this or direct me to where I can learn about this I would be very grateful!
30% dmg boost means just 30% elemental dmg (your planar orb) not 30% dmg itself. It isn’t that strong part of the dmg formula. Jiaoqui for example makes it really 30% cause he provides the buff that increases dmg enemy receives. Decreasing armor or increasing penetration provide much more cause it is “final dmg” in other words you don’t increase your characters dmg you increase the dmg your enemies receive. If I’m not mistaken only true dmg increases your dmg that way. Any % of true dmg mean you characters deal that much more dmg. (But mb there’s a character that increases “outgoing dmg” not “dmg boost”
@@noahd531 yo thanks for the explanation! Isn’t res pen something that is applied to your character and not the enemy? So by your logic it is increasing your characters damage and therefore less effective? Or does res pen mean you decrease/nullify the enemies resistance to your damage by x%?
@@J27J You character ignores enemy’s defence through penetration. It is all “your character’s dmg” but for the final formula enemy’s def and pen is much more significant.
