THANK YOU for talking about the lack of boundaries in family channels. I fully believe these apps need to start taking measures/ or laws need to be made against this. These children are going to be traumatized when they get older seeing their whole childhood online. Nothing will be special to them, and imagine when they’re in middle/high school and people in their grade can find so many details online about their life. It’s sad that the Labrant family and many others alike are profiting off of their kids. This needs to be talked about more.
i think filming kids is the worst thing to come out of these channels. even if a couple makes the same horrible content, they’re adults. they chose this but the kids didn’t agree to being filmed 24/7
i feel “realistically” the only way having your relationship online can work is if you make it in a way of like these are my videos and my boyfriend just HAPPENS to be in them sometimes

running a business with your partner is already stressful and can put a strain on the relationship but if the RELATIONSHIP is the BUSINESS that’s just a whole other level of tension that’s not conducive to a healthy relationship
i think cam&fam is a really good example of this and a turn around on top of it. its the typical teen mom forcing a camera in her kid's faces. but after her husband passed, she really found herself and who she is and changed her content completely.

It's one thing to record them, to show doctors. But to post it online with out consent (and that kid is too young to consent to that) is BEYOND fucked

theres one family channel she didn't mention in the video but I think also falls under all of these categories as well, they're called the Norris Nuts and I used to watch them before they got super super famous. The mum literally will not stop producing children and none of them get a say in whether or not they are going to have a career in youtube from the second they exit the womb. I feel so sorry for these kids, as far as I'm aware they don't go to proper school and they aren't truly loved or cared for by their parents. Makes me super grateful for the upbringing I did have, at least I am independent and experience genuine emotional exchanges with my parents, not just for content.
