It really is such a beautiful and aesthetic game! So glad they're helping it bring the game to life even more so 😁 We actually did play on the metro in DC and that was a lot of fun. Unfortunately we didn't record the whole match. Great idea though! Cheers! 😀
Good game and really enjoyed the format! Very similar to when my wife and I play (especially the counting checkers), except she's the one who normally lucks out with doubles during a race 😤🤣😂
Thanks! Glad you enjoyed it! 😁 There always seems to be one in the relationship that gets the doubles, haha. I always tend to get them vs her, it's very odd, haha. Cheers!😀
Loved the single game vids. Love the tournament and club highlight vids along with product vids. Now have some match play videos. Kinda like what Backgammon Moldova other channel does. Maybe even some Tavla are Tavli. Get a Manopoulos wooden board for Tavla and Tavli games. That would be sweet! When and if you guys ever come to Tulsa Oklahoma. Double Shot Coffee Co. is a place you guys should check out. They used a 170+ year old barn and refurbished it and turned it into a 2 story coffee shop.
Thanks for the feedback Chris! 😀 We will definitely get a match in for the next one! This is all great input. That coffee shop sounds AWESOME! I've never been to Oklahoma, but I'd like to get there at some point! Cheers! 😁
Hello! Thanks so much for the kind words! My wife and I had our second child and I underestimated the duties of having a two children, hahaha. They sure keep you busy! I'll be going to the Charlotte tournament in January and I'm planning to have a video to follow. Hoping to get back in the groove from there. Cheers and happy Holidays!
Great game guys. Lots of fun, but you really should get a pair of precision dice even for the casual games like this to avoid skewed dice rolls. Only $15 for a set usually. Keep it up. Get sweet coffee sounded yummy. ;) salsaguy
Thanks! We actually have two pairs of precision dice but I forgot to throw a pair into this board. I’ll make sure to get a pair thrown in next time though! 😃
According to the product description on Crisloid’s website, the dice that come with this travel set actually are precision dice, in case you were unaware.
I thought of you two the other day. I'd love to see someone make a video covering all things related to the use of clocks in backgammon matches. This is something I've suggested in other channels but haven't seen yet. A couple of years ago, I was kind of intimidated by them as a beginner and there was very little information on the topic online. This could include how they're generally used, different models, different features/settings, tournament rules, what's happening when you see professionals hitting both sides of the clock to reset for their opponent, etc. This would be valuable to players looking to enter their first tournament and/or learn more about the game. Just thought I'd throw it your way! :)
That’s a really great idea! I’ll add that to my list of videos and see what I can come up with. I have a clock, and I totally know what you mean. Bri still refuses to use one hah! They stress her out too much. Definitely adds some stress haha. I appreciate you throwing that idea out there! What was the intermediate clock settings in Madison? 18 minutes with 15 second delay?
@@blunderblotsHaha, I don't blame Bri! They're real stressful sometimes! My time management needs some serious work. Most of my Madison matches ended with less than one minute on the clock. 😆 It's a good thing my first match didn't go into Post Crawford. The intermediate clock settings were indeed 2 minutes per match point with a 15 second delay. 18 minutes for 9-point matches, 14 minutes for 7-point matches, and so on.
@@backyammonyamsI can totally relate. My time management isn’t great either. I don’t get to play with the clock much. There’s always online of course, but I just prefer in person. Perhaps since we live fairly close we can get some games in sometime and practice 👍🏻👍🏻

Hah! Glad to know we're binge worthy! 😁 TH-cam can be funny with notifications, but if you haven't already, try going to my channel homepage and clicking the bell icon next to the subscribe button. Click all. That should do it! Cheers! 😀
Fun video & you 2 have really improved in how well & quick per assessing the positions. Bri, at 11:42 when you rolled the 3-2; might I suggest clearing your 8 point. Your racing lead is huge & this limits future rolls that could cause a disaster or two. Of course, rolling all those 3's later made it scary as well...& cost you a, very probable, win. :)
Thanks! 😀 My play is like a rollercoaster, haha. Good one game, awful the next. Good fun regardless though 😁 Bri said thank you for the explanation! When we were watching it back, she was wondering about doing that more efficiently. Cheers! 😀
@@BeerAndBGhah! Cheese is so dang good! Bri demanded a bag of fresh cheese curds while shopping tonight. They’re extra squeaky. Hard to pass that up haha.
65 opening reply to 63 24/18 13/10 is 13/7* 6/1*, you must hit. Hitting at the beginning of the game is usually correct unless you have something VERY strong as an alternative.
For sure! This is one we talked about after. I was surprised she didn’t hit me there too. I think sometimes the opening rolls get so programmed in that you forget about it sometimes haha. One game at a time towards improvement! Thanks Neil! Cheers! 😃

Hello John! Thanks for stopping by! 😁 I may not be the best person to answer this, (being newer) but there's definitely a lot of tactics to the game. To me, the skill of the game really comes in when you start using the doubling cube. When you're playing 7 or 11 point matches, it takes a lot of the luck out of it and makes it (for the most part) so that the better player will win 9/10. I can see why some wouldn't like being the better player and having any chance of losing, but that's part of what makes the game so exciting to me. The more I learn about the game the more I realize the depth to it. I hope that helps. It's a lot of fun that for sure! Cheers! 😀
