Niiyama Shiho (1970-2000) is one of the best Japanese voice actresses in terms of singing in my mind. I was nine years old when I first heard Seiya Kou's character song, “A Galaxy of Difference: One-Sided Love”, and I was totally blown away by the beautiful, sexy voice and the great singing skills! I wondered what the lyrics meant, so I began to learn Japanese by myself when I was a freshman. Shiho, by the way, majored in Danish in University. I enjoy learning languages because of her.
Last month I read her souvenir book, "Seiyuu Niiyama Shiho”. She loved to sing and enjoyed it, and blue was her favorite color. If she were alive, she'd be a famous voice actress and singer in Japan, but unfortunately She died at the age of 29. One of her wishes is to have her own music album. I want to get her dream come true , even if it's just a virtual album. Shiho said when she was hospitalized, "I love all the characters I've voiced." Then this time, I want her voice to ring out in the 21st century, a century without her. I used to be lonely, but with her voice by my side, I'm not.
