病気、というよりは「周りの視線が怖い子」と「話すのが怖い子」という、社会に出るのが怖い2人のコンプレックを描いているように見えました。
何度観ても聴いても、考えさせられる曲です。
みなさんの解釈もさまざまで、自分と隣にいる人の見ている世界が、実は全く違うんじゃないかという複雑な気持ちにもなります。
有機酸さんの作品は線の細さと繊細で触れるとすぐ壊れてしまうようだから、それを親である有機酸さんが歌うことによって「大丈夫だよ、愛してるよ」って暖かく包み込んでくれる包容力とあまり良い意味で感情なさげだから、拝聴すると本当に心が綺麗になる気がする

Am i weird? First, I thought this song is about lgbt 🤔😅 *before i see the subtitle 😆
I think it's a song about a couple dealing with depression. There's a lot of visuals that imply that the guy is depressed and can't speak about it to his girlfriend (who has been with him since high school). The white band around his mouth represents his reluctance to speak to her about it for her sake. And similarly the white band around her eyes either represents her willingly blinding herself to his pain or her inability to see it. The flowers that show up represents the way that she caring for him tenderly through his depression that's why as his depression worsens the flowers are subjected to worse and worse treatment being ruined and eaten. Each time though the girl shows up and tends to him again and makes it right. His depression begins to get the better of him though. It "overflows" overcoming the love for the girl in his heart (symbolized by the cup with the flowers spilling over). Right when he's about to go over the edge and kill himself while looking at a photo of her. The girl finally gains the ability to see the depths of his pain and gives him the ability to speak from his heart ("I'll give you the whole truth"). The scissors that were about to take his life instead free him and we get this remarkable scene where the girl leads him out of his depression that mirrors him leading her into it towards the beginning of the song
Alternatively if you want to read it without the depressive tones, you can think of it as a relationship falling apart then being brought back together. In this reading you can think of the guy as being bored of the relationship and wanting to end it, but he can't express himself. The girl is blind to his feelings, so when he lashes out she takes care of it always wondering why he's acting so differently than when they were together before. His silence leads them down a road of pain and right when he grows sick of it and is about to cut her out of his life (final scene), they have a come-to-jesus moment and she saves the relationship

1:32の全部忘れてもの歌詞と、口角が上がってく様子は抗うつ薬飲んだ後の反応を表してて精神疾患系の意味があるのかな
この曲の流れ的には、強い繋がりがある2人が心因性の病気でクワイエットルーム（それか過去の思い出）に閉じこもっている、男の子の方には秘密（治るかもしれない？）があるけど2人の関係を崩すかもしれないからそれは言わないでいたら女の子が自分はもういいからと男の子を部屋の外に出しているのかなと
他の方の解釈で女の子は自分を犠牲にして男の子に臓器提供する、ってものがあって、そう考えると

I've Seen a lot of theories, and want to share my own ( is a bit happier though!) I think the message is conveying that they tried to grow up too fast, which made them fall into a deep depression as they didn't know what to do with themselves. Many young couples feel this way being thrown into the adult world, and often forces people to put dreams on hold.
The blindfolds signifies them not wanting the truth, for the girl, she does not want to see the truth: they are struggling, and the boy refuses to admit the truth (hence why he was "never honest" @2:48" as not admitting the truth is being dishonest)
They got out of school, and got married right away (notice @ 1:49, " I noticed the ill feeling of being married for life". Their relationship wasn't perfect, but they were in love and made promises and shared the same dreams as young adults. you can see small clips throughout the video of their childhood memories, and how happy they were most of the time.
But being married that early, their parents did not approve so they moved out to live on their own with no support (Hence the runaway boy @ 1:53). This hurt both of them deeply, as a parent's love is priceless. "why does it have to hurt so much?" " surely because it was for someone else's sake"- they both left home for each other's sake, to start a new life together, despite their parent's disapproval.
"it seemed like life that had lived dealing with too much" and the darkness in the chorus are both representations of dealing with more than they can handle, and falling into a deep depression because of it. they choose to go down together and never to let go.
One day the girl has had enough, "it's crumbling, it's crumbling" (@2:36) and thinks about ending it all, her emotions overflow but instead of giving in chooses to face their problems rather then continue to ignore and let it crumble.
She finally feels happy, having accepted everything that is going on and she is no longer blind (she came to this realization herself and her blindfold falls off seeing the "truth") and helps guide the boy out of the darkness ( represented by the quiet room) to go live a happy life together again. "wait for me" doesn't mean they are breaking up, but the boy is asking her to wait for him until he is also happy again and to stay by her side. by cutting off his blindfold, the she re-covers his eyes guiding him until he is ready and at the end, we see the boy in the doorway, no longer being pulled and the door closes behind him :)

I used to listen to this song when I was depressed and it really helped me, it’s catchy yet sweet tune lifted my mood every time. Even though this song made me happy, it reminded me of the state I was in when I listened to it and it makes me sad that such a good song reminds me of such memories. Coming back to the song now makes me nostalgic and how far I’ve come, the fact that I am still alive and breathing and happy with my life is pretty much unbelievable to me. Thank you for making good music that comforted me during my hard times.

From my point of view, it seemed as though it was two parts of the same, like the you that is sad and depressed and is left alone into the cold nights, and the you which you present to others. Either or, I really love this song

I’m late but imo it’s about a boy who can’t speak about his feelings (hence why there’s the paper covering his mouth) and a girl who can’t see his feelings. But she eventually frees the both of them by allowing him to communicate and listening and seeing his feelings. In the end, you see her cover his eyes, shielding him from his own sorrows (just my take though!)
