This time we did a production of Aurora. We had done Aurora many times before, but this time we had more of the dances and had Aurora, the queen, and the Maleficent. I danced the Diamond Fairy. At this point, I have trained for 4 years. We did this same dance in the next year. We each played the same parts. For anyone wondering I am 4' 2'' at this point.
Celebration Ballet Academy uses the RAD system. We are all in Intermediate foundation, except the youngest, she was in the class below. I am still the youngest of the class and we were the highest level at the school.
Fun Fact About CBA: We never practiced with mirrors and we did not have proper flooring for ballet either. We would practice on carpet, on the gym floor, or the stage you see in the video. The stage was quite slippery due to the paint, so we would wet the bottoms of out ballet flats to avoid slipping. If we ever learned anything from a video, like a barre or centre or dance pieces even, we would learn from non-mirrored videos. However, in the second half of 2018, they got a place with proper flooring and mirrors. I left before this happened.
