It's so fun that you guys are still making the "pillow swimming pool" on the floor for the kids to jump on. I remember you doing that with baby Flynn. Nice to see that the tradition continues. Really enjoyed the spiral rock display and a lot the rocks you showed us today. There was one that was speckled at the end of purples going into the blacks that took my breath away. I was bummed to hear that the dermatillomania is bugging you. Mental health is such a rollercoaster. Sending love from Los Angeles 💛💜

Hey Flynn, I was going to tell everyone why it was called a millipede just as you said it!! Did you know that a centipede is called that because they have 100 legs. Century equals 100 years. A centenarian is a person who is 100 years old.

I got myself a gift and it’s a vibratory…..rock tumbler. Not where I thought that was going! 😂 But so glad to hear that it’s gets your rocks polished! 😂😂😂

I make pickey pads for some of my clients. I am a behavioral therapist that works with autistic children and it’s helpful for a lot of them. If they help you Colleen I’m happy to make them for you. It’s made from a rubber mix and any kind of beads. ❤hope they help you.
I feel the same when I haven’t taken my meds and I’m like why do I feel so out of sorts and I’m like oops oh yeah 😅😂 some of them I know straight away as the withdrawal makes me feel nauseous

I have some gorgeous rocks that my grandsons found at the beach, in the PNW. I have them on display and do not have a rock tumbler. So, I used clear nail polish 🤣 they look great! I remember tumbling rocks in the early 70’s. It really is fun. ❤ love Colleen’s rocks.

The rock haul at the end was outstanding! The 2 rocks before the red one were like tiny pieces of art! There was so much depth and variety in them! you should consider starting a rock store for those who don’t live near places where they can find and tumble their own rocks. It could be a good business model, since you are already doing it anyway, you might as well make some money of it, and you could donate the proceeds to childhood cancer ❤

My adhd is so bad that I don’t trust myself to drive safely without my meds. Thankfully I’ve been on medication for like 20 years now but it still shocks me how off I feel if I don’t take it for a day. Thankful to have it but sometimes really wish I was just normal and could function as a real human without it. You mentioned you were just diagnosed with adhd a few years ago. Have you noticed a big difference since being on medication for it?

tortilla talk comment? the dermatillomania shame is so real. my cuticles have been a problem forever. often i wouldn't even notice i was picking until someone pointed it out or until i was bleeding, and i used to be so embarrassed to talk about it. but YOUUUU were the first person with a platform, whose content had brought me so much joy for so many years, to ever be open about having it! it made me feel like i wasn't some gross weirdo, and i started being more open about it too. and talking helped so much. now when i go through a bad wave, my partner will gently redirect my attention, and the people who are close to me know that if my fingers are in bad shape that i'm probably not doing awesome mentally, and it's kinda nice to just have other people know, you know?
seriously thank you so much for being so open about your own challenges. it's one of the most generous things humans can do for one another, and you do it munificently.

Sorry for your struggles. I get so mad when people ask you about your disorder, it is none of their business it is so rude. I grew up in squalor, I cannot stand wearing wrinkled or 'dirty' clothes, I am able to manage, but I will always struggle with that.

Colleen, please don’t feel embarrassed about sharing your dermatillomania struggles! I’ve been curious for an update! You sharing your experiences is the only reason I know what dermatillomania is and was able to get my diagnosis and start treatment in December! I struggle to find people to relate to but I’m always comforted in a way when I even just hear you mention it❤
