helix is the IDE of the term, you get it all but you can't really change any thing, and no plugins. vim is for like me that use it from 2003 and don't want to change.(but i did) Nvim is vim as it should be, they remove all the old stuff from vim, that no one uses, and made a great base to build a tool that fit you so perfect, with plugins that you can't go back. nvim do take a few days to setup before you are ready to use it for real tho.
Same here .. still waiting for a plugin system ... hopefully in Lua .. everything is using lua for plugins ( nginx, redis, neovim and others ) .. no need to learn a new language for that
Love that you keep looking at Helix and doing these videos. Saves me time and your summaries and explanations are always wonderfully clear 🙏
Thanks a lot, that's nice to hear!
I love using helix because of its sensible defaults, no need to mess with plugins which caused a noticable delay when starting neovim
Thanks for making this video! I was hoping you would make one as your content and summaries of the Helix updates are the best on TH-cam!
Thanks a lot, glad you like them!
hey thanks for making this video, really helpful
I would have really liked if wasm was used for plugins, opens so much possibilities
Awesome video!
When I 10p it pastes but all 10 to the same line. Anyone know how i can get it to paste each time on a separate line?
vim or helix, and why? please give your opinions

at this rate, they will catch up to nvim in 7-10 years.. that is faster then i would think.

It's already been decided and even began development for a plugin system in Scheme/Steel
@@bhavyakukkar so EMacs without any of the good things from Emacs, you just killed this editor for me.
@@zeocamo glad to!
I didn’t you migrated to Helix
Still using Neovim :)
Waiting for plugin system too...
it is going to be emacs without the good stuff, using Scheme/Steel, neovim is the better choice here.
please disable the AI auto dubbing of Videos
it is horrible
Steel is a strange choice
Yes, I'm curious how it will turn out.
Helix itself is a very niche choice
Their docs suck
