The three day trip was about $750. This year we were allowed 5 Fluke and 4 Black Sea bass per day. My friend and I were both well over the limit at the end of each day so we were giving away fish to people who were not catching as many. Thanks for watching!

Does the boat keep the fish on ice for the three days? Also are there cots to sleep or are you sleeping on benches?

We usually bring a big cooler with Ice that’s lasts for a couple days. Depending on the cooler I usually bring 30-40 lbs of ice and that typically works for me. We also stop in Nantucket on the second night so a lot of people will grab ice from the Stop and Shop by the dock. There are bunks with small pads that people sleep on, but it’s wise to bring at least a sleeping bag and pillow.

I used to love going on the Helen H on the porgy and Black Sea bass trips until that day they packed us so tight on the boat, I couldn't even fish. It was that day I decided never to go back on that boat.Ever. Pure greed.

why do they gaff instead of net and then you measure?

This boat doesn’t use nets so they gaff all the fluke. If the fish is close, they will usually have you swing the fish over the rail to measure it. All the ones that were gaffed were well over the legal size of 16.5 inches, but I liked to measure them for the camera. Thanks for watching!
