Do you also enjoy the works and worlds of Clive? People call him the master of horror... Which he is... But to be honest, his best works are only horror-like. They are fantasy. He is the builder of gateways and doors. For children who whine at the idea of reading, and then cry when it's over, "The Thief of Always" and Abarat. For you, first, Weaveworld, then perhaps Sacrament but certainly, most certainly the two books of "The Art" and finally, his masterpiece, Imajica. Imajica, what can I say about Imajica other than that it's a real marvel. My favorite of his books however, Cabal. It shows us the evil of men and the humanity of monsters. Exquisite. Other than that I must recommend Robert A. Heinlein, Stranger in a Strange Land, his greatest work, of which there are many, Assignment in Eternity Citizen of the galaxy, The Sixth Column... But the former above all others. That is not to say you should by any means stop there. Ted Chiang has some very nice short ones on TH-cam. Highly recommended for the discerning intellectual. Frank Herbert's six books of Dune should be required reading. Neotropic books. They have literally given me super powers. Blink, by Malcom Gladwell is one I wouldn't want my enemies to read. Equally entertaining in spite of the fact that it's a sort of text book for the subconscious. Enjoy 😎

We never hear Leviathan ever speak in any of the Hellraiser properties that have been produced but for some Godforsaken reason the voice you use for Leviathan’s dialogue actually feels and sounds correct. It’s menacing as all Hell, but at the same time makes Leviathan sound like someone whose mind is on the brink of shattering into thousands of shards of glass and enjoying every second of it.

Harry D’amour is also in the Scarlet Gospels novel by Clive Barker, and Pinhead’s the main villain in that story. So they are indeed in the same universe according to Clive.
Is scarlet gospel and Lord of illusion not same I lessened to gospel and it's cracking harrowing go right in to hell with De amour and pinhead the one how goes to take out moring star as he called in book .

D'Amour is probably my favorite Character in this I'd like to see him in a movie version he is creepy but also comical with his responses and sarcasm lol
Just finished listening. so spoiler warning for anyone who hasn't yet listened. I very much liked the heel to toe description, it set the scene, built suspense and listener curiosity very well. I think your script did justice to Hellraiser and its themes, was very respectful of lore while also having a completely new perspective. I liked how it was a prequel that leads perfectly in to Hellraiser 1 with Frank Cotton. Essentially the film would be the story of the Guardian we see throughout the Hellraiser films, which is a very unique\clever idea as the Box Guardian is pretty much an untapped character and aspect of the Hellraiser universe not elaborated on enough. I always thought two characters we don't know enough about are the Box Guardian and the Engineer, so it was interesting to hear how the Guardians are made\chosen. The idea of the city slowly being turned into a lament configuration was so much better than the lament configuration building of Hellraiser 4. Also great how this guardian encountered the Toymaker. The City of Lament being the movies crescendo with post credit scene of Frank obtaining the Box and setting the stage for the sequel. Not a cringe post credit scene like marvel, but a classier Metal Gear Solid style post credit scene haha. So overall I liked how it made good use of Hellraiser Canon and added something completely new without damaging or tearing down what came before it. I liked how this was its own thing and didn't need to over saturate the consumer with Pinhead or torture or sick stuff for sick stuff sake, but was still thoroughly Hellraiser. This was more in touch the Hellbound Heart which is an elegantly written story, thank God its nothing like the Scarlet Gospels lol. Your script set the stage for a sequel that could go in a couple of directions, like the obvious revenge for being tricked into becoming a guardian and for his daughter or the archaeological discovery of the Lament Configuration City which could be very cool. Thanks for the recommendation Mr H you should definitely continue the story.
So what's next? I want it NOW! This was a really good Hellraiser story, so much better than all those shoddy sequels; even no. 2 was pretty crappy compared to the 1st one.
