    Hello Ben! You are one of the best English teachers I've ever seen on TH-cam and I would like to ask you a question. I am currently sitting for a B2 English Exam (ECCE, a test developed by the University of Michigan and from Cambridge) but I believe that I am currently at the C1 level because I get good scores on the test and I use the language every single day. How much time will it take to prepare for the Cambridge Proficiency Exam? I also want to thank you very much for your amazing content!

    Good evening Ben. Example: John's grandparents at their very late were suffered by dementia.
    I wish it's correct..

    • @tothepointenglishwithben.
      @tothepointenglishwithben.  10 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

    • @Eagle81623
      @Eagle81623 10 หลายเดือนก่อน

      As an adverb..I used it as an alternative to: the latest years

    I was surprised when you said that the usage of very as an adjective for emphasis is from the c2 level .
    I always hear it while watching Manchester City matches .When Haaland pocked in the box ,and out of nowhere, he scores !
    Commentators say :"He scored his first goal from the very first touch ! One touch one goal !"

    I just got my results for the CAE C1 exam and I got 199 points , should I contest the results? The speaking was rated kinda low in my opinion ( at 195 ). How does it go with the contestations , on the cambridge site it says you could get a lower grade or there is no change at all but i think in the speaking part of the exam is much more interpretable.

    Greetings, Ben. Thank you for this video. I think it answered a question I had but I wanted to confirm a usage of very that I think you missed. I believe it's probably a variation (no pun) on the "particular" definition example.
    The instances are as follows :
    Someone's very existence.
    Maintaining one's very sanity.
    Saving one's very soul, or very own soul.
    Whether or not you get a chance to see this comment, thanks again for the video. Cheers.
