Paigah's were the descendants of Umar ibn al khattab ,the second caliph of islam. They migrated to hyderabad and were very wealthy people. They had their own govt and military established way before the asaf jah dynasty. In terms of social status they were regarded as very high ranking family after all their connection with the second caliph and not to forget their wealth. Paigah's had a great taste of luxury and they were fierce warriors. I can go on to say a lot but lets just just stop here. Why didnt you go down to the left side of the mosque? There is another mouseleum of Sardar ul mulk kamiyab jung . He was a top military commander of the paigah's.
