Journey of the Indus River

🌊 Welcome to our exploration of the Indus River!
In this video, we embark on an incredible journey tracing the Indus River from its origin at the Bukharchu Glacier in Tibet to its confluence with the Arabian Sea near Karachi.
The Indus River originates from the Bukharchu Glacier near Kailash Mansarovar in Tibet. After entering India from Demchok, it flows through Leh, the capital of Ladakh, and merges with the Zanskar River.
The river crosses the Line of Control (LOC) into Gilgit-Baltistan, where it connects with the Shyok River from the Siachen Glacier and merges with the Gilgit River near Nanga Parbat.
Turning southwest, the Indus enters Pakistan and merges with the Swat and Kabul Rivers. It then flows into the Punjab plains from Ghazi near Attock, receiving waters from five Indian rivers- the Jhelum, Chenab, Ravi, Beas, and Sutlej- at Mithankot.
Finally, the Indus River empties into the Arabian Sea near Karachi.
